About this listen
George Olsen's life is one big lie. As a witness in a mob-money-embezzlement-operation-turned-deadly, he lives within the WITSEC program and has had plenty of trouble adapting to life.
Never look back: It’s one of the sacred rules within the WITSEC program. But when he hears an old flame has moved back to New Mexico and is in danger, he is forced to return to his old stomping grounds only to discover that decision could prove to be fatal.
People are looking for the half-million in embezzled mob cash buried somewhere within Torrance County. The same money Olsen and his friend had found a couple of years earlier, the same money people have died for, and the same money wanted by an army of killers who will stop at nothing to get it.

Monkey Wrench
This is a great book to listen to. It holds your attention from the beginning to the end. You need to pay close attention to keep up with the twists and turns. This is the first I have listen to a book by John L Thompson and he has written an interesting book. Narrator did an excellent job on this book.

A gripping read!
I enjoyed this book quite a bit, the storyline keeps you interested and makes you want to read more. You can definitely get into the character's perspectives. This book is something that could actually be adapted into a movie and I would definitely watch!
The length is great, it doesn't feel too long or too short, and the narration is great to listen to.

Thrill-ride
It is a tried and true concept of one being in WIT-PRO but the book by John L. Thompson has a fresh spin on this action-thriller mystery and will keep you hooked throughout.
The narrator's southern American twang also brought authenticity to the story.
Situations are described just the right amount as to move the plot along, but not meandering enough as to grind it to a halt. This balance is not easy to have down - especially not in an action book.
All around an excellent book to lose yourself in during a commute or while doing the dishes!

Action-packed and thrilling!
Fast-paced, exciting story that demands your attention. A simple use of a 'McGuffin' which everyone is after, drives the plot onwards: in this case it is a stash of money left over from a previous crime. Excellent narration. Enjoy!
