A Pure escape from reality
This was the first book I downloaded from Audible and it persuaded me to join. I now have all three books in the series and I have enjoyed them all. They may seem a strange choice to peel potatoes and make cake to. (I now have a player in the kitchen), but I prefer to listen to a book than music. These books were very different to anything else I have ever read as I am new to fantasy fiction but I am now well and truly hooked

Good Listen
Fairly standard fantasy nothing compelling or new, sometimes far stretches to imagine a dragon using an "illusion" to be human without something more, but still good listen and worth the time spent

Disappointingly shallow and bland
I found this story to be very trite and shallow and am glad I bought it with Listener credits; I surely wouldn't have wanted to pay full price! I felt like I was listening to an allegorical fable for children most of the time. It gets two whole stars - because I was able to actually finish listening to it.
