Summary

From The New York Times best-selling author Kendall Ryan comes a stand-alone romance about a swoony, single dad and the quirky, new neighbor he falls for.

Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.

I was THAT girl.

You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her 30th with her two best friends - the ones who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.

By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type - tall, dark, and handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I'd had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I'm not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like French fries, so there's that.

He took me home, and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life, well, until it came to a screeching, and rather unwelcome halt.

There's nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking:

"What are you doing to my daddy?"

Just kill me now...or so I thought.

Come to find out the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

Refreshingly Decent

I took my time in deciding to buy this book. Though I would always buy any book narrated by Andi and Sebastian- my favourite narrators. But over the days of trying to make a decision and reading reviews, I decided against it.
So last night I finally gave in and bought it.
I am ever so glad I did. Just pure refreshingly normal like your guy next door.
Got to love the single day and child story line.
I enjoyed it! Not too many characters but just focused on the 2 most important ones - Kate and Hunter.
I could relate to this book and totally enjoyed it.
Sometimes a simple romance, without the miserable CEO and loads of money - is just what one need to remain human.
A must read ! To bring one back to earth.
Enjoyed it! Will read again and again .

Meh…

I really wanted to like this and the voices didn’t annoy me as much as they could have. But the story was a bit weak, the spice was over way too quickly each time and it just was a bit… meh. The epilogues (yes there’s more than one!) then kind’ve put the nail in the coffin. Not the best.
