Delightful book.
A delightful book, wonderfully narrated by the author herself. The story is entertaining, with love and friendship shining through, the characters are interesting and relatable, and I loved the pets.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Discovering a new book is always fun
I enjoyed this book. This is the first time I have read or listened to a book by this author but it won't be my last, as it was a lot of fun. Despite the book cover it is a more grown up cosy mystery than the usual and doesn't contain the naive bumbling teenager who has just come into her powers, instead the main character is her forties with a husband, four children, a number of animals and everyday struggles. This made her human and a character, people can relate too and was a good choice for this type of story. I liked the cast of characters she was surround by and think the series is going to be to keep an eye out for as it develops. The mystery was cleverly crafted in the home life drama, learning about there powers and being suspected of the murder and stayed interesting throughout the story. I had no clue who was responsible and was surprised when all was revealed. Off to start the next book .
Melissa Fitzpatrick's (aka Miss Fitz) life while not great was comfortable, she knew what to expect and what she could manage. Close to middle age and raising four children, two on the autism spectrum has given her skills, a support group and great friends. But nothing prepared her what happened when a car driven by an entitled rich drunk nearly crashes into the local coffee shop. Some how her and her friends divert disaster by throwing her handbag and by moving an old witches cauldron and that's the problem. It shouldn't have stopped the car. However rather than have time to learn more about there newly discovered powers the friends are arrested for murder. The town drunk escaped harm from the car crash but after disappearing from the hospital is found dead in the soap shop belonging to her friend, making the three of them the prime suspects. Can they use there new!y acquired gifts to find the real killer?
I liked the fact the author is also the narrator. She knew how the story sounded in her head when she was writing it and that comes across in her retelling, making the story come alive with entertainment and excitement.
