Great lessons for self-refection!
Loved & loathed it. There were too many (seemingly irrelevant to me) examples, but at the end I realised it was all necessary when I found the example that hit home for me. Keep listening, it actually gets really good. The narrators voice was a bit jarring, but overall a great lesson is to had for all! Worth it in the end!

Fixed mindset vs Growth mindset
I found the information in this book both informative, practical and fascinating- I’d recommend this book if you’re seriously interested in developing better health, closer connection in your relationships, or if you’re looking to improve yourself, long term…

Good book that ran out of steam
But too long for the concept, should be 2/3 the length. Horrible self promotion: “here is a letter I received …” worth a read / listen though

Useful thinking, great book
A great book, which I happily recommend
I don’t think a growth mindset is the only reason for the positive changes that are attributed to it in this book though. I think true self confidence, not the loud and self appraising kind often that is mistaken for self confidence but rather a quiet and deeply grounded inner peace that makes you strong enough to welcome learning opportunities from your mistakes and input on how to overcome your shortcomings rather than become brittle and angry at those who (dare) question (perfect) you. A very useful way to learn about how you could approach life situations differently and I think it’s a necessary skill to develop so you can develop a true self confidence.

Good book if you have fixed mind set
I realised that when i started to listen to the book, i have a growth mindset and always had. The book is good to find out if you have a fixed mindset and change it. Why 3 stars? It just repeats the same thing, just in different situations. Also, there are a lot of school examples that i couldn't place in my everyday life.

Useful Concept. Dragged out with the same Repeated message.
The overall message has some great takeaways & useful concepts that have real world application; however it got painful after the first few chapters. It’s 8 chapters of the same repeated message in MANY different case studies. I was hoping for some clear, concise actionable steps rather than having to read between the lines of unrelatable case studies. The key concepts of this book can easily be found on doing a little research on the fixed & growth mindset, save yourself laborious task of reading the whole thing. Not one i will be revisiting.

Too repetitive
I only made it through half the book. I found after the introduction it just repeated the same thing but in different circumstances. I found it too black and white in its approach. There weren’t strategies on how to change your mindset. I also bought this version because it was narrated by carol dweck. Only the introduction is. Then the pace changes to a much faster and harder to listen to style of narration. The reason why I stopped listening was because I felt it wasn’t adding any more beyond that if the introductory chapters. Finally, in the job I work making mistakes are very costly, this then nurtures tendencies towards the fixed mindset as mistakes have high consequences. I felt the book didn’t really deal at all with situations like this.
