About this listen

My fiancé is screaming at me in public.

I'm used to it. My role here is to look pretty on his arm and to play nice so he doesn't hurt my sick daughter.

What I'm not used to is the man who comes to my rescue. Adrik Tasarov is a tall glass of gorgeous. He's got a jawline that could cut glass and eyes that could melt steel. Best of all: my fiancé is absolutely terrified of him.

So when Adrik asks me to dance, I say yes. When he asks me to do a little more than that, I say it again. Then comes the make-or-break moment. Adrik offers me a fake marriage to get me out of my real one. I say the two little words that seal my fate: "I do."

Little did I know I was signing a deal with the devil. Now, I'm a prisoner in a beautiful mansion. I can have anything I want—except for my freedom.

I have an ace up my sleeve. Something my fake husband doesn't know about. Something that will change everything. His baby in my belly.

Midnight Oath is the first book in the Tasarov Bratva duet from bestselling mafia romantic suspense author Naomi West. Adrik and Emery's story carries on into book two, Midnight Lies.

dark and delightful

thoroughly enjoyable, who doesn't love a deliciously dark walking red flag of a MMC (in a book of course)
I love the fact the author has chosen give the FMC a disabled daughter (and a super cute one too) as the topic is shied away from by so many other mafia romance authors.
I did not see the twist coming towards the end of the book and am going straight into the second book to find out the reaction to it when he finds out. I highly recommend the book.

Great story / listen.....

This was a really good book, I don't normally write reviews but with 1500+ in my library i think this is worth 5☆. it was an audible plus, so it was well worth the membership. If you like your ML with a strong, complex character and your FL feisty with a side of stubborn ( at times stupidly amusing). Not to mention, two excellent narrators, who have great chemistry and an understanding of the emotions needing to be portrayed. Then you should enjoy this book immensely. 📖 ❤️

Unlikable characters

Based on the tropes I really wanted to love this book and I have read some of Naomi's other books but unfortunately I just really could not connect with the two MC's and I actually really disliked the MMC. From the moment Adrik kept Emery away from her disabled daughter as a form of punishment there was no way he would be redeeming himself to me. Book ended on a cliff hanger so eventually I will pick up the second book. Narrated in dual.

Not great

Male narrator wasn’t great and the main female character was so annoying. Has to skip parts of her talking as she was so weak and boring. Really not worth the listen and I’m really surprised it has so many good reviews

Gonna DNF this

I’m all for a dark questionable romance but this is just uncomfortable. Maybe it’s the way the male narrator tells it but it actually made me feel sick and I’ve read some f’d up books. I like the premise, but this is a DNF
