Summary
Why do nine out of ten startups fail? Why do some founders attract funding, top talent and dream customers? What’s the one skill investors universally recommend entrepreneurs improve, in order to increase their companies’ odds of success? More often than not, the answer is communications.
In this actionable yet timeless must-listen, Jag and Oliver give founders the unfair advantage they are looking for. Based on decades of experience and hundreds of interviews, this is the ultimate blueprint to becoming an unstoppable founder. From developing an irresistible story for growth to gaining visibility in crowded markets and attracting and retaining top talent, founders will learn how to use communication skills to take advantage of the massive opportunities ahead.

Adding a 5th job to the founder/ceo role
I was previously coached that the ceo has only 4x essential jobs: 1. Set the company vision; 2, Build the company culture; 3. Hire an excellent management team; 4. Manage investors and the board. The key theme across each of these roles is communication. While listening to this audiobook, a 5th job is something I’m considering: 5. Managing the communication with your top customers. No doubt that will be tough when executives already time poor, but in the event of a crisis or increasing momentum towards a key moment, those investments along the journey may pay off in a big way…maybe like a positive black swan. Thanks to Oliver and Jag for helping me think about this
