Kate Winslet is amazing
The story is great but it’s Kate Winslet that really makes this book five star, she is absolutely excellent! My daughter and I lived listening to this book together.

Volume change between characters
Loved the story. Loved Kate Winslet as narrator. At times the volume change between characters was a bit drastic and wasn’t so easy to listen to. Otherwise it was fab.

Bravo!!
I absolutely loved this audiobook. Matilda has always been a favourite book of mine and I adore Kate Winslet...so this was perfect!
Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull are given rather unusual accents which I would not have expected them to have - but that is a small thing. :)

Splenderifically entertaining
Roald Dahl was an incredible author and even after listening to this audio book several times I still find it as magically entertaining as ever. Kate Winslet is an admirable narrator and helps show the tone of the book through her incredible voice acting. Thank you for taking time to read this review and never forget how wonderful you truly are.

I have read this story loads of times in the past as it was one of my favourite books when I was young. I really enjoyed this audiobook and found that Kate Winslet was really good at bringing the story alive. I loved listening about Matilda as she learnt to read and began school. I loved all the characters of her family and the different characters at the school. A brilliant listen that I would definitely recommend. I would also definitely recommend listening to books read by Kate Winslet. xxx
