About this listen
A marriage of convenience might be crazy...or an answer to both of their prayers.
Mandy Hudson swore she'd never marry. Abandoned by her parents and raised by her grandparents, she has a hard time trusting that real love will last. When her grandmother dies, Mandy is shocked to discover a stipulation in the will. Considering marriage to her best friend may be the only way to keep her family's beloved bed-and-breakfast.
The loss of his job threatens Preston Yarrow's shaky financial stability. Besides, he can't watch his best friend give up the only real home she's ever known. Frustrated by Mandy's stubborn refusal to let him help, he's certain they are stronger together than they are apart.
A marriage of convenience sounds like the perfect solution until love enters the equation and complicates everything.

Friends to lovers done perfectly!
Marrying Mandy was such a sweet story!! I loved this marriage of convenience, and how patient Preston was with Mandy. Talk about matchmaking grands with a twist! The friends-to-lovers trope was done perfectly, and the themes of family and God's presence in our lives despite (or through) the hardships were beautiful.
The narrator did great differentiating the voices between Preston and Mandy (and all the male and female ones) but her delivery could use some work since there were pauses in the middle of the sentences that kept pulling me from the story. After upping the speed to 1.7x I didn't feel it as much and could enjoy the experience for the most part.
I definitely recommend this Christian Contemporary Romance and author, and now I can't wait to read more of this small-town series and great community.
