About this listen

A fake fiancé never felt so real.

The idea of facing my cheating ex at a friend’s upcoming wedding sends me right back to the chubby, insecure guy I was when I met my very straight best friend. Since then Jude has been the most supportive person in my life. So when I ask him for a favor, he steps up and becomes the best fake fiancé a guy could ask for.

With three months before the big day, my friends rally to make sure we come across as authentic as possible. Jude takes to the lessons better than any of us anticipated. Especially the kissing.

Now the fake engagement is starting to feel kind of real.

This wedding should be really interesting...

Marry Me is a steamy, best friends to lovers, fake fiancé, gay awakening, low angst story. It is book one in the Tattoos and Temptation series featuring hot Miami nights, Latin desserts, and guys with ink.

It can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Friends to lovers done just right!

Story: Jude and Bri were such awesome characters! I loved everything about their personalities and the whole story. It's a great execution of a friends to lovers story, with a fake fiance thrown in for good measure. It's fun, it's hot and it's so very very entertaining!
Narration: Great job by Kale Williams. I liked how easy it was to follow the story and how easily distinguishable were the characters.

A sweet love story

A sweet story about gay/bi awakening and a man low self esteem.
Kale makes a great job with it!

so bad, so forced

When I read the synopsis I was super excited, I LOVE MMbest friends to lovers and revenge on cheating exes stories, so knowing this audiobook was about both I was ecstatic... sadly it was a horrible letdown.

The characters are nice but they make no sense. Everything is done out of convenience so the story can work instead of letting their relationship flow so it all feels so damn forced.
One of them has been straight all of his life and instead of taking us through the journey he had to fall in love and desire his best friend...no, instead, his friend says he needs a fake fiance/took him to a bar, and a chapter later he's like... yeeeees I want a dildo and gay sex.... what?! no. Chill dude.
the author takes so much time explaining every single politically correct slang/noun/pronoun/verb etc of the LGBTQ community instead of making us see them fall in love, that makes the book boring as hell. At times it's like they're reading from Wikipedia.

also, they have the same talk like 20 times. I don't know if the author has a max word count that she needs to deliver and just control-copy the same "oh I was with someone who didn't deserve me(no my baby), I am fat (no you're not babyyy), etc" and just pasted it every 10 paragraphs.

the acting was really good. especially with the material he was given.

my advice... save your credit or money.
