Great fun, as always with Mark Steel

Mark Steel always does a great job in these series, a combination of mickey taking, appreciation for history and healthy amounts of tongue in cheek. Highly recommended if you dont take yourself too seriously :)

Always a delight

As with all previous "Mark Steel's in town" seasons, this one is once more an absolute delight to listen to. Mark Steel's way of being both educational and taking the mickey out of places is very amusing and his wide range of accents is impressive.

Witty inventive humour

I love this series where Mark Steel manages to encapsulate the soul of Britain with an earthy and erudite humour that’s all his own. There’s a real art in exposing the foibles of a place before and with its inhabitants in a way that endears. Thoroughly recommend the series for anyone wanting cheering up though there are some extremely penetrating insights into the way our towns are being ruined and made more soulless by large corporations and vision less planners

Never Fails to Entertain

I've listened to every episode of Mark Steel's in Town that Audible has to offer, and have loved every minute of every one. Whether you've heard of the place Mark is performing in, or not, they're funny, charming, and I absolutely recommend them. One of my favourite shows on the radio.
