Summary

Having a brood has changed the mood…

As one of the biggest parenting stars on social media, mother-of-three Louise Boyce knows a thing or two about navigating the craziness of family life.

Now Louise shares her expertise in Mama Still Got It, a hurtling gallop through the ‘real’ parenting calendar. From drop-kicking the kids through the school gates in September, to the perils of using a public loo with your toddler, via the existential dread of an unexpected nursery call to tell you ‘there’s nothing to worry about’ (sure), this book covers all the highs and lows of modern motherhood.

So put the kids to bed (for five minutes at least), grab a glass of wine, and settle in for the ride.

Mama may be tired, but she’s still got it!

Critic reviews

‘Beautifully observed, wickedly funny, expertly told. BRILLIANT!’ Giovanna Fletcher

‘I adore how honest this is-Louise finds the funniest moments in the smallest everyday occurrences. I loved it.’ Fearne Cotton

‘This book is for anyone who, like me, has watched Louise’s reels on repeat and wanted more more more – it’s bloody hilarious!’ Katie Piper

‘Utterly heartfelt and blimmin’ hilarious – Louise has created that perfect cocktail of laughter and tears. It’s like a bosomy maternal hug in a book.’
Anna Whitehouse

‘A brilliantly funny, and more importantly, realistic take on the joys and woes of parenting, from nappies to nits, and soft play to screen time, we’ve all been there, and you have to laugh, or you’ll cry’. Gill Sims

‘Louise is genius. This is a brilliant, hilarious and refreshing perspective on parenthood that isn't often expressed; I'm going to buy a copy for every mother I know!’ Alex Light

‘Utterly brilliant!! I laughed out loud from start to finish. Full of messy, real life parenting stories which I’m so grateful for, because let’s be honest, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows! Louise’s comedic and self-deprecating narration, even around the more serious scary parental decisions, made me feel like I wasn’t alone or doing a terrible job. This is just what life is like with kids and this book should be all parents pocket guide to ‘stop giving yourself a hard time!’ Millie Macintosh

Incredible relatable, funny and heartbreaking!

I've never related so much to a book! I could also feel Louise's stress through the book with her incredible story telling! There are some really sweet moments in the book which reminds us parents how special it is to have children. I also loved the right to reply from Louise's mum and Jessie. I would highly recommend!

Could not contain the fits of laughter

This highly resonant read had me bent over laughing in my kitchen whilst cooking dinner (hubby and children giving me concerned looks simultaneously) I had tears rolling down my eyes and kept nodding in agreement.
Since having my children I’ve spent so much time reading & listening to books on “how to be a better parent” which quite frankly has left me feeling more deflated more often than not. Listening to Louise share in such a matter of fact yet hilarious manner just normalised a-lot of what’s not actually spoken about in the parenting journey! And sometimes the quickest way to a more enlightened perspective is to actually lighten things up right? Id highly recommend this book to parents, especially mothers or anyone wanting to get a glimpse into the life of. In fact, I’d find it hard for anyone not to find humour in this book. I feel so much lighter in myself and my parenting abilities
Thank you for the gift of your honesty Louise and the way in which you communicate ye this to your readers & audience
In a world of smoke and mirrors of “perfection parenting” your transparent humorous stories are a godsend
You are a true blessing x

Brilliant take on motherhood

Great listen, did actually buy the book for the photos; these are very tiny though. Still I’m happy to have a copy of the book to keep hold of.

It’s like being reunited with an old friend!

I loved listening to this book, it made me feel lucky to be a mom and a good one at that. I realised my kids are just like everyone else’s and it made me laugh and cry many times. The only thing I didn’t like is the constant negativity towards her husband who appears to be very annoying and not helpful in raising his own kids. Maybe it’s a funny depiction but it didn’t land very well.

Very relatable, nicely read by Louise and I enjoyed her mum and husbands replies. Great attempt for a first book.
