It was perfect!
What a great story! I was scrolling through tiktok when someone recommended this book series. I can’t wait to read the rest 😭 and THANK YOU for portraying healthy black love that all black women deserve!! ❤️

Nice, but a bit shallow
If you enjoy quick romances then this book will be what you’re after. There’s no build up to the relationship, nothing to make you really believe these 2 people need to be together. It was nice how he treated her and played the role she needed but they just choose to be together, nothing is drawing them towards each other.
The narration…horrible. Morae sounds nothing like the person Leon is making Luca out to be. She gets really dramatic towards the end and it’s not realistic the way she’s talking. Leon doesn’t do any silly voices but he is a bit boring in parts where he should have a bit more emotion in his voice.
I was really looking forward to this as so many people say it’s an amazing book but it didn’t do it for me.
