Summary
She’s given up on men. He has no time for love. When a Halloween party turns into a night of outrageous costumes and police chases, can they score a forever goal?
Drew Foster is trapped in a one-man operation. Focused on building his small IT consulting business, the workaholic thirty-one-year-old has no time for close relationships except with his sister and widowed mom. But at a Halloween bash hosted by his brother-in-law’s hockey teammate, he hits it off with an unknown woman in an outrageous mascot costume.
Katie Denning is done with men. Burned by past boyfriends using her to get close to the professional sports team, the loyal dog-lover leaves the party with a guy dressed as a giant banana slug… only to be pursued by police. And after a night of adventure and fun with the cute guy running from the cops, she plucks up the courage to ask him on a date.
Though their romantic rendezvous is cut short by her Chow-mix attacking him, a determined Drew asks for a second chance. A cautiously optimistic Katie begins falling hard, but she fears Drew’s work demands could result in her facing another painful rejection.
Are they about to get stuck on the sidelines before they can score a forever goal?

Great addition to the series
This cute and very funny novella isn't about hockey players but it's hockey adjacent because members of the team make cameo appearances. I laughed so hard at some of the antics.
Narrators were perfect. Easy to understand and great comedic timing.

4.5 Stars!
Short & Entertaining! Loved! 💕
It’s so nice and fun to be back in the Playmakers world! Love Rinkside is a light-hearted novella that takes place in this world. It stars our MCs, Drew and Katie, who were previously introduced in earlier books, both related to hockey players. Drew and Katie have a really cute and funny meet-cute moment at their friends’ masked Halloween party, both dressed as mascots, and that’s where the romance begins. Their romance is not all smooth sailing, with some moments of miscommunications and misunderstandings. However, it all leads to such a cute happy ending.
I really enjoyed this novella. Drew and Katie had such great chemistry. Plus, it was such a joy seeing some of my favs from previous books in the series like Beckett, TJ, Natalie, and Paige.
The narration was fantastic! Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James were both great and worked very well together, as well as, were excellent in their portrayals of Drew and Katie respectively. They brought the story and its characters to life. I truly enjoyed this duet narration!

Brilliant dual narration from Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James, who bring the humour, angst and romance to your ears.
When Katie and Drew meet at neither of them is looking for love. Both meet at a Halloween party were they are dressed in ridiculous costumes. The two of them want to leave the party , as Katie is dressed in an Katie as an extremely large male appendage and Drew as a giant banana slug. The two hit it off and end up spending one fuel night of adventure evading the police. Because of her job Katie has men only wanting to know to get close to the hockey team but Drew is part of the hockey team. Another problem is , Katie's dog hates Drew and attacks him, making it even more difficult for them. Both of them start to realises how much they care for each other decide to put in the work to make their relationship work.
Humour, action, angst and great characters.

Great Story & Narration🎧Entertaining & Heartfelt!
It is great to be back in G.K. Brady’s “Playmakers” series, one of my favorite series of sports romance novels and “Love Ringside” is a wonderful addition to the series, a rink side romance between Drew Foster, sister to Natalie from the second book, “Third Man In” and Katie Denning who works with and is friends with Paige Miller from the first book, “Taming Beckett”. This book stands on its own, so you need not have read or listened to the series to enjoy it, but if you did, it is great to see these characters again, even if it is just a cameo appearance. Drew and Katie meet at a Halloween party at the Miller’s house, and everyone had to dress up in a team mascot. Drew and Katie’s were unique, especially Katie’s, which was very halloweenie and maybe a little over the top, since it caught the attention of the police. That was a hysterical opening scene, and the two hit it off and it was a fun start to their relationship. I enjoyed watching these two get to know each other and was happy to see them get past their own insecurities and misunderstandings. This novella sized book packs a whole lot of story, with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance, and as always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. G.K. Brady, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Ryan Lee Dunlap and Shiloh James were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took their role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Ms. James’s Katie was perfection, showcasing every aspect of her personality, from her insecurities to her fierceness and determination, and Dunlap did the same as Drew, nailing his demeanor and all traits of his personality as well. These two are entertaining storytellers, their voices and performance complemented each other and together they elevated this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Enjoying this entire series
I have really enjoyed this series. I liked these characters even though neither of them know how to communicate, they both realize that eventually though. This story felt cute even though there was some heat. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book/series

This novella is a wonderful addition to the Playmakers Series!
Welcome to the connected world of the Playmaker families! Drew Foster is the brother-in-law of Denver Blizzard player. A team costume party leads him to a fun, eventful meeting with Katie Denning. Both of them are gun-shy about love. Drew is busy building up his fledgling consulting business. Katie has been burned by a cheating ex, and guards her heart at every turn. But when the chemistry is this undeniable, they’re both ready to throw out the rule book and give it a try. It’s such a sweet, funny story. The narration is perfection. The stories are written with humor, laughter, and touching moments. The story is written with an adult heart and perspective, so the inner thoughts and dialogue sound real. This is a story that’s so easy to get wrapped up in, you’ll be surprised when you realize how quickly time has gone by. I absolutely love this whole series, and this book is a wonderful, indulgent treat.
