Summary

There's no way he'll shake this off....

Trevor Daniels is feeling aimless. A recent college grad, he's not sure what to do with his useless degree, and his family all but abandoned him after he revealed the truth about himself. But a friend's suggestion that he take his chances on a reality show aimed at finding the next big boy band strikes a chord with him - until the show's producers convince him to act like he's in a relationship with a guy who's not at all his type. It isn't exactly love at first sight for Jalen Smith either - but lust just might push them in an unexpected direction. If only their secrets weren't even more twisted than their sheets, threatening to cost them the win - and each other....

Contains mature themes.

Loved it, moving and powerful

A moving sequel to the previous book, but also works as a stand alone for Trevor’s story.
Moving and emotional. A story of rejection and acceptance, bravery and courage, love and trust.
Good narration. Loveable characters. Got used to Trevor’s rather squeaky voice, didn’t like it initially but was fine with it once getting into the story. I nearly gave narration 4 stars because of this, but thought that was a bit mean since I enjoyed the story so much and having heard some audiobooks with flat narration, this was really enjoyable and felt the emotion in the narration.
Listening to this audiobook got me through a tough couple of days of illness in bed, so grateful that this story helped keep my mind off how ill I was.
As with the first book, really loved pausing the audiobook to listen to the songs mentioned, that really brought the book to life and helped imagine the band singing and to imagine Trevor’s singing voice. The track list at the end was great, listened to all the songs that inspired the book and now have new bands to listen to.
Again with this book, can imagine this as a TV show, it would be so moving with the music if they found the right actors that could sing! It would be even better than Glee or Pitch Perfect 😊
