About this listen

Love will always find its way...or will it?

Ella a.k.a Miss Apple Pants is back in another charming story. But instead of losing everything she owns to a U-Haul truck, she’s about to lose her heart...

A lot has happened since we left Ella lost in Seattle. She’s become a mature woman and loves being a "timeshare mother" with her hippie parents. Life is good. Hans is part of the past, that is until Alfred suddenly utters the word “dad”... And when Frank announces they are going to Europe for the summer, Ella finds herself split in two. Should she go find him? And is she still in love with him. Or is she, in fact, in love with someone else?

A warm-hearted and humorous romance/family drama, Lost in Love, is a celebration of family, friendship, and finding love when and where you least expect it. “If you love a fast-paced story, with snappy dialogue and lots of humor, heart and girly feelings, this is the audiobook for you”.

Hearts for miss Applepants!

I loved the first book so I was unsure about the 2nd (incase it wasn't such a hit with me) but I had no need to worry, it was just as well written, well read / sang (lol) and witty as the first. Bringing a new storyline (with a hint of the old) a new set of real, right now issues and new large as life characters.
Another heart for miss applepants !

Let the quirky fun continue!

Well who knew Ella was going to grow into suck a kick booty woman? Ok, I kind of did! I was a bit more amped up for Lost in Love. I just felt like there was so much left unsaid, undone that I was dying to get everything out in the open!! Charlotte Roth does not disappoint with her characters. Even with some high tense situations happening she still gives her characters this real feel to them while making them quirky and fun. I found myself just standing around while listening, instead of cleaning or working, I'd just stop and listen with bated breath just waiting for a shoe to drop!!

The narration was fantastic! Hope Dorman really gives each character their own voice for their specific personalities. Ella and family is fun. They are some quirky and really unique characters. I feel like Miss Dorman really accented that fun, quirkiness just in her performance. I love it and I'm really hoping Miss Apple Pants continues on!!

Great but missing something for me

I loved the first book so much that I was super excited to listen to this one to see what happens next for Ella. I really enjoyed the story, the writing was great, and everything but it just wasn't quite the story that Miss Applepants was. I think the problem is not that the author didn't bring us a great story with absolutely adorable characters, I think the problem for me is that I didn't connect with it as well as I did the first book. I do love Ella's son Albert and Mrs. Rock.

The narration was perfect for this story!

Book 2 standalone

Book #2 I think can be read as a standalone. It is definitely a rollover story but they fill you in on what’s happening. I actually think I enjoyed this one better than the first (#1 Miss Apple Pants) the characters are great. It’s a group of people hanging out from around ages 3-70 it’s an awesome dynamic. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Sappy

This was so incredibly touching. I can't even begin. I guess I could start out by saying that anybody who reads this should read the first book first. This book will be a bit confusing if the first book isn't read. I didn't want to stop reading. I'm hoping there will be a book three. I don't think there will be, but you never know! I'm keeping my hopes up. I adore these characters as much as I did in the first book. Except I have even more characters to adore in this one. It's beautiful. There's a story between two of the characters that I want to read more on and soon! GIVE ME MORE! I WANT MORE!!! I believe the narrator was the same. I am horrible about remembering names. Somebody put a meme up with Will Smith from MIB with the memory stick thing as somebody tells me their name. Yeah that's me. Anyways, the narrator is fantastic. I had a few issues, but they were very minor. She has a very soothing voice. I really adored this book. I pray it's not the end. I really can't wait to see what happens next. I want to see how the story goes from here. I am just not ready to let these characters go just yet! Ella kind of reminds me a bit of Rory from Gilmore Girls.

Second in series

Lost in Love was a sweet follow-up to the first in the Miss Apple Pants series. There weren't any mature scenes, but like the first book there were some more sensitive topics. At the beginning of the book, Ella is a single mom deciding whether or not to tell the baby's father. I actually felt more invested in the relationships with the supporting characters than the potential romantic relationships because there was more time spent on them and their development over the course of the book.

I listened to the audiobook. Hope Dorman did a great job with the narration. She sounded very age appropriate for the main character. There were a few mispronunciations, but you could also attribute that to the age/experience of the character.

Sweet Romance

Lost in Love by Charlotte Roth is the second book in The Miss Apple Pants Series that I listened to on audio narrated by Hope Dorman.

This is the third book of Charlotte’s that I have read and it definitely won’t by last. Her writing just pulls you into the story and you can’t stop reading until the very end.

Hope did a great job on the narration she really brought the story to life. However, I did have to listen to it between 1.25 – 1.50 speed otherwise it was really slow reading in my opinion.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Sweet Romances.

I can’t even tell you how much I loved this!!!

When I first got these books, I wanted to read them because Charlotte Roth wrote them. When I started listening... I love Hope Dormans voice, but wasn’t sure about the story. It only took a few minutes for me to be hooked!! I listen to every word quicker than I normally do!

I love, love, love these characters! And in book 2 even more so!!! Ella is such a great mama.. and Alfred is such a funny, sweet boy!!

I don’t want to give anything away... but I want everyone to go listen to these!!! Ella.. her parents, Mrs Rock, Thomas , Eleanor and Thomas’s parents!!! Every one of these characters are wonderful to read about. This entire storyline is so good!!!

The ending of this story... made every single thing that happened in this book worth the listen!!!

I loved it

I've listened to a few novels from Charlotte Roth and I have never been disappointed. Lost in Love is another fascinating tale that held my interest from beginning to end. This story is the 2nd book in the Ms. Apple Pants series and was one big adventure with witty, humorous banter, a realistic, relatable storyline and fun, quirky characters who you can't help but love, but what I absolutely loved was the family and friends dynamic. The story was emotional and heartwarming and you will enjoy every moment of it. I would highly recommend this novel to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I really enjoyed listening to this novel which was narrated by Hope Dorman. She did an amazing job with the characters and narration. Her pace and timing was amazing and she was able to portray the right emotions and give each character their own personality. It was a pleasure listening to her narrate this novel.
