About this listen
The must hear new thriller from the best-selling author of Safe House.
Nick Miller and his team provide a unique and highly illegal service, relocating at-risk individuals across Europe with new identities and new lives. Nick excels at what he does for a reason: he's spent years living in the shadows under an assumed name.
But when Nick steps in to prevent the attempted murder of witness-in-hiding Kate Sutherland on the Isle of Man, he triggers a chain of events with devastating consequences for everyone he protects - because Nick and Kate share a common enemy in Connor Lane, a man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it means tearing Nick's entire network apart.

Brilliant!
What did you like most about Long Time Lost?
The great story and the suspense...the way it was told and unfolded! Chris Ewan never disappoints! The different twists were so good...no spoilers from me! I think you have to be able to take in/absorb these sort of plot lines to enjoy them, as I did. Lot's of characters and different leads....thoroughly enjoyed putting my brain into gear getting round them all!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Becky!!! What a great lady!!
Which character – as performed by Mike Rogers – was your favourite?
Mike Rogers did Chris proud. The way he managed to make all the different characters come to life, even the little girl...she was particularly good! Well done Mike!
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Can't think of one...but it was quite 'Shocking, emotional, violent, tense and romantic'
Any additional comments?
Chris Ewan is one of my favourite authors. I fully recommend anyone who's not read anything from him before, to give it a go. Also, his Good Thief Guide books! Well done Chris! :-) And thank you! Debs

Long Time To Review
This is a nicely put together storyline. It has plenty of twists and turns and the jeopardy of the characters keeps you wanting to listen more. The narrator doesn't over egg any of the characters and manages both male and female roles with skill.

Unconvincing
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Listened to the end, but it was touch-and-go.
What about Mike Rogers’s performance did you like?
Read clearly, and distinguished between characters, although range of voices was limited
Any additional comments?
An odd book. Starts by presenting the 'hero' as a consumate professional - a bit like Liam Neeson in 'Taken' - but then the rest of the book shows him as a kind of bumbling amateur, making increasingly unlikely decisions.Found plot and characters unconvincing.

The first I've read by this author
This is a complex and interesting plot, with well developed characters. It could be the start of a series . The idea of helping those in need to disappear, the keeping them safe whilst they're hiding is intriguing and this author puts in enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and wondering where he'll take you next. The narrator was reasonable, but he didn't seem to have a great range of male voices or accents, they were all pretty similar. His pace and expression were good though so I'd listen to more of his and definite by more by the author.
