Summary

Every warrior has his weakness.

Logan has it all - friends, popularity, girls - but his perfect life isn’t all he imagined.

When one mistake leads to his untimely arrival in the afterlife, he becomes a weapon against the evil that lurks on Earth.

When a mission goes awry he emerges with a secret superpower, but is broken in mind and body. He cleverly hides his scars, until the day he’s assigned to train an unlikely new demon hunter. Even though Audrey is as fiery as she is alluring, this beauty may be the one to tame his inner beast.

Now the only thing he’s sure of is that his existence will never be the same.

Fans of the Mortal Instruments, Supernatural, and this Present Darkness, won’t want to miss experiencing the beginnings of this epic love story.

Fun and insightful companion novella

When a fatal mistake leads to his untimely arrival in the afterlife, Logan finds himself training to become a demon hunter. When a mission on Earth goes awry, however, Logan and his protege are captured by Satan and tortured for weeks. Following his rescue, Logan is broken in mind and body. No sooner has he begun to get back to some semblance of normality, he is tasked to train an unlikely demon hunter. At first, Audrey is as fiery as she is annoying but she may just be the bridge that heals his scars both in heaven and on earth.

Logan is a companion novella that can be read as a stand-alone or as book 2.5 in the After Life series. Told from Logan’s point of view, this book not only offers insight into Logan’s hilarious first meeting with Audrey, but answers a lot of questions about his background and how he came to be in the afterlife. His friendship with Kaitlyn and Morgan is covered as well as his brutal capture and torture at the hands of Satan.

My one small gripe was that it wasn’t long enough. Logan’s POV was so much fun that I wanted to read more about his thoughts on Audrey. It certainly made me see Logan in a different light though and I’m almost tempted to go back to reading the series again.

We were also given more insight in to Kaitlyn and Morgan’s relationship and with the author now hinting of a possible spin off between these two, I for one can’t wait!

All in all this companion novella is a treat for Logan fans. He’s such an enigma in the first two instalments. We now realise he wasn’t as indifferent as he tried to make out.

I received a free advanced audible copy of Logan narrated by Adam Gold and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
