Summary

In this audiobook, Helen Forrester continues the moving story of her early life with an account of the war years in blitz-torn Liverpool, and the happiness which she so nearly captured, but which was to elude her twice.

Very enjoyable story

I have listened to all 4 of these stories and I do hope Helen Forrester will carry on with more as they are very enjoyable. In fact I would like to know just why Helen's mom treats Helen like she does.

a little bit more boring for me but still loved

I thought this book was less entertaining at some parts! just because there was a lot of talking about not much for some chapters. so it was a bit hard to stay concentrated. but I loved this book so much. my heart aches for June. I wish there was another book after this! just one more to tie everything in.
I love Judith's books so much. I don't understand how she remained so kind and understanding to her mom. June is a true heroine and inspires me to always work harder. I just love her story. I love how liane tells the story and does so incredibly well for the characters' voices and acting. thoroughly enjoyable
