Summary

Never have I ever....

She has never lived a normal life outside of the dance studio. He has never fallen in love. Levi O’Connor is trouble. At 22, there are a few things that he was sure he would never do: go back home, and fall in love. After spending months on tour with his band and making bad decisions that landed him on the front cover of numerous tabloids, it is not until an incident happens at one of his shows that everything changes.

Riley Andrews is a picture of discipline and success. At 18, her life has been consumed by dancing. This summer, she is staying with a world-renowned ballet teacher who is preparing her for her dream school. Only, she is growing frustrated as her teacher is constantly pulled away to deal with news about her reckless son. Levi and Riley’s lives are turned upside down when a global pandemic leads them in what they believe is their own personal hell.

Filled with drama, heartbreak, and romance, this is a story of love that may not have happened without tragedy.

Aptly named title

Life Interrupted is a wonderfully written Rockstar romance and quite engaging. Daniele Lanzarotta's stories and characters are always interesting, refreshing, and highly enjoyable. The storyline is well-composed, with the right amount of drama, steam, and unexpected twists and turns. Levi and Rile are amazing, appealing, relatable, and their journey is one of love and sacrifice.

Marli Watson and Connor Crais do an excellent job with the narration. They portrayed the characters and their connection very nicely, bringing them to life. I genuinely Life Interrupted, one I'll definitely recommend.

Love this book!!!

What a great book! Daniele Lanzarotta never disappoints, and this book is a fun, relevant listen. Levi is a rockstar. Always in the news, he has gotten himself into trouble and on house arrest during the beginning of the pandemic. Riley, a ballet student on a mission is studying under Levi's mother and when lock-down hits, Riley stays with her. Little did these two opposites realize not only would they be living together, but how much they would effect each other. Paparazzi, social media, greedy manager, fantastic band mates, a best friend we all want and an Aunt to breathe what life really means into us. This is a fantastic listen, giving us a look at just how the pandemic affects different people, and just how much our lives are interrupted!

Connor Crais is an amazing Levi. Confident, successful, falling in love, Crais brings Levi a sweet, yet a little cocky personality, and you can't help but love him. Marli Watson is a new voice for me, and is perfect for the new adult genre. She creates the shy, stiff Riley, and has her evolve and grow. This was a wonderful listen and I highly recommend it!

Rockstar

Marli Watson and Connor Crais dual narration was brilliant.

Levi is a Rockstar, after getting into trouble he find himself under house arrest. Riley, a ballet student on a mission is studying under Levi's mother.

The two find themselves thrown together because of the pandemic . Will the opposites find themselves , able to get on.

Can't go wrong with rockstars!

Cute rockstar romance about love in lockdown. Excellent narration by Connor Crais & Marli Watson. Marli is a new to me narrator! Need to find more of her work.

Excellent

This is definitely not the usual rockstar book. It’s very well written and the characters are likeable. With an emotional storyline that deals with several issues. A fantastic performance from both Marli and Connor.

Life Interrupted.

Levi is a rock star who gets into trouble after his last concert overseas, he gets sent home to do ninety days house arrest. He goes to his room to sleep in his room when he sees two females in his bedroom, he ends up falling asleep on the floor. Riley is staying at her dance teachers place while her mum is overseas with her sick sister, that's when things change for Riley good and bad. Riley has an audition coming up for a scholarship, but she is worried because Levi uploaded her to his media account, she ends up having a panic attack and Levi calms her down. I loved the story, the sweet romance.

In one word? Unexpected

This book in one word? Unexpected.

It’s only the second time I read something about the pandemic in a romance novel. And this time, it’s set right at the beginning, showing the fears, the assumptions, the discoveries about the illness… when it was all new and we weren’t yet used to the situation. It brought of course some realness to the story, but also shone a new light on how we’ve been living for two years. It’s an essential part of the story too–a lockdown is the reason for the forced cohabitation, the limitation of contacts plays a part too, and the sickness is ever present. It wasn’t too anxiety inducing though, but the eeriness and special atmosphere of a city under lockdown were described.

Just at the beginning of the pandemic, Riley and her friend Krissy are stucked at their ballet teacher’s flat, with the woman’s troublesome rockstar son who’s on house arrest, Levi. Riley has no interest in the famous playboy, while Levi falls in love at first sight with the younger girl when she’s sleeping. But his manager goes to great lengths to keep him in his fans’ mind, threatening his budding relationship with the dancer.

I loved that they were both so passionate about their art, while choosing opposite ways to enjoy it. Riley is serious, dedicated, and has basically no life outside dancing, while Levi has taken full advantage of the rewards brought by a rockstar life. They slowly change their ways to meet in the middle. So satisfying.

I don’t want to give away any part of the plot, but there’s a lot of twists and turns, some drama and lots of fun, and not a dull moment.

The narration, in duet, was excellent. The female narrator was new to me, but I loved her energy, and her youthful voice was perfect for Riley. The male narrator, great as always, brought Levi’s cockiness to life, while also being able to convey the more emotional moments.
