That is, until, in 1990, her lover Robbie Cook was murdered at point-blank, and she found herself falsely convicted. Linda was sent away for decades, and would go on to become Britain's longest-serving female prisoner. This is her story of life inside, and how she learnt to survive the many years she spent behind bars.
Detailing the systems, characters and rules of prison life, as well as her encounters with notorious criminals Charles Bronson, Rose West and Myra Hindley, Linda gives a full account of her time locked up.
Featuring stories of fights, riots, dodgy dealings and what happens when a prison officer gets taken hostage, this is a gritty and eye-opening look at prison life from a woman who has seen it all.

Amazing
Wow, just wow what a book/audio story. Linda Calvey is brutally honest throughout and you won't get a better depiction of 'life inside'. excellent listen!

Listen on 1.2 speed
Fantastic book; Interesting and detailed - you won’t find a more honest autobiography than this! Read it, or if listening on audiobooks change speed to 1.2 for a smooth listen. Linda is a legend and I’m so pleased to hear her voice as she takes us on the journey of HER life!

Gritty, honest and couldn’t put it down
Wow! Linda, I felt like I was with you on the journey! *spoiler alerts incoming* I cried when the jury got it wrong. I cried when your daughter announced her pregnancy. I was bloody furious with the police for “losing” evidence. I hadn’t heard of you before I read your book but I am glad I now do. What a colourful life you’ve had, thank you for sharing it.

Incredible journey.
A really amazing listen,this whole story was captivating.
