Summary
My first mistake? Causing the h-o-t Frenchman a concussion. My second? Telling the hospital staff that I was his girlfriend. In my defense, he didn’t speak English. My third? Taking him home and letting him sleep in my bed. I never said I was Florence Nightingale.
He gave me a night I’ll never forget, but when I wake, he’s already gone. I tell myself it’s his loss, that I wasn’t expecting him to stay forever anyway, and my life moves on. I get a new job. A fresh start in a new country, and I stop counting my mistakes. Until those striking green eyes meet mine across the office, and it all comes rushing back.
But he’s not that man anymore. Gone are his jeans and his playful attitude. Rich and powerful, he’s now sin in a suit. And his English is perfect. Were his kisses also lies? His caresses meaningless? I feel like such a fool - I want to wrap my hands around his neck. Though not to hug him, because the man is a force of nature. A master manipulator. He’s also my new boss. And I already hate him.
The biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves.

Wonderful
What an amazing book! The characters were well thought out and the story was exciting and interesting.
The narrators were really good I especially enjoyed the very good French accent it made the story that more real, so I give him five big stars for his amazing effort.

Irresistible
Glamour, humour, banter, a great love story and some great twists and turns in the plot. Who could resist a Donna Alam book? Rose and Remy are wonderfully written characters and both narrators do a fabulous job of portraying them. Highly recommend. I’m off to download The Interview audio book now …

Twists till the ending
Heroine is Rose . Hero is Remy
This story has it all . The author Donna wrote a very well description and details with characters and background. There is chemistry between Remy and Rose that turns into love . You gets lots lots of twists and turns until the happy ending.
The performance of Lucy Rivers and John Lane is fantastic. They did all the tones for each Character and scream right on

I read this book in 2020 and remember absorbing all the words and getting drawn into Remy and Rose's world. First, I loved their beginning--it is as dramatic as you can get. The change of locale from the US to Monaco and France adds an exotic flair, and I enjoyed the descriptions and interactions with the secondary characters. Rose is really kept in the dark for much of the story, while Remy has secrets swirling around him, which makes for an interesting dynamic. The tension in the plot builds slowly and I really loved the conclusion, which tied up the everything that had been alluded to during the story. The narrators: this was dual narration. I think Lucy Rivers had an easier job than John Lane on this one. John had a number of accents to do, and I think they both did a really good job. The one thing I noticed that occasionally got me confused was that John, while voicing Rose, would slip into a Kentucky accent (in the beginning of the book, it says that when Rose is under pressure, the Kentucky in her slips out). As a listener, I thought there was a new character, or was wondering why he started talking that way. It took me out of the story. I heard Lucy do this too, but her accent was much softer and more subtle. Overall, it didn't affect my enjoyment too much at all.
I was gifted a copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review, provided voluntarily.

A perfect romance for a perfect couple.
Donna Alam is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and the addition of Liar Liar into the audiobook realm was perfect. We all need to spend a little time with a sexy Frenchman in our ears.
Remy Durrand and Rose Ryan are the perfect couple. They truly are made for each other.
Remy needs someone who will restore his faith in humans, someone who will love him for him and not his bank account or last name.
Rose needs someone to lavish her with attention to be there for her and love her. This story is filled with witty banter, hilarious dialogue, sexual tension, and all the delicious, raunchy sensualness we could ever hope for.
I have always had a soft spot for John Lane and Lucy Rivers but they both performed the shit out of Remy and Rose.
I would like to take a moment to appreciate John’s French accent, ooh la la, c’est incroyable. John captured the essence of Remy in the best way possible. Lucy’s portrayal of Rose was fabulous. Rose’s feisty, fun, flirty personality, and the way she is fiercely independent was not only represented but executed to perfection by Lucy.
Donna is becoming quite the master when it comes to taking her books from page to audio, she has a real talent for casting her characters perfectly. I have loved both audiobooks to date and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her work being put out into the audio universe.
I couldn’t have loved Liar Liar more! I laughed, swooned, cried, wanted to kill Remy before going back to swooning over him again. I saw so much of myself in Rose so easily devoured this audio in one sitting.

Great Story With Plenty of Twists
I enjoyed this story and there were many threads that were tied up nicely at the end. Donna Alam, is a great story teller and she didn’t disappoint.
My only issue was when the female narrator had to do the male narrator’s part, her french accent wasn’t brilliant and the diction was poor, so much so that I downloaded the story in Kindle to clarify some of the words. That said, the male narrator was absolutely fantastic, his accent was perfect and it certainly added to the authenticity of the story.
I’ll definitely listen to it again and again.

Frustrating!
Invested over 15 hours into this audiobook for literally nothing exciting to happen until the last 2 chapters when it all just felt extremely rushed to get the book over with.
The premise was great, I loved the idea of the story, but felt like we got a lot of repetitive mundane day to day life moments, which probably took up half of the book.
Narrators were superb considering they have 3 different accent (French /English/southern American), couldn't fault the performance at all.
