Summary

Teri has dated more men than she's had low-calorie, low-fat dinners, and she still hasn't found Mr Right. She's found other men, though: Mr Lazy, Mr Greedy, Mr Completely Selfish, Mr Looking-for-Mother-Substitute and Mr Pervert. But no Mr Right.

That is until she's literally knocked off her feet by Jamie Duncan as they rush to catch the same train from Euston station: the 18.07 from platform eight. It's not long before love blossoms and commuting takes on a whole new meaning. There's just one problem. Teri may have found Mr Right, but he may not be Mr Available....

Good read but sad in places x

I usually smile a lot and laugh out loud when reading her books but I found myself tearful more than once with this one. The tone is a bit dispairing throughout and I wasn't ready for it! Good read and the narrator is well suited to this story x

Not her best.

I normally enjoy Carole Matthews' books but not this one. I didn't warm to the two main characters at all and didn't find myself wanting things to work out for them.
I thought Terri came across as whingy and moaning and really couldn't see what Jamie saw in her. I also found all the 90s references made the book feel rather dated. Definitely not Carole at her best!

Affairs of the heart

Great twists and turns of the emotions of love affairs, family life, hurts and reconciliation. A really emotive book

Disappointed

I was very disappointed with this book, normally Carole’s books are lovely and cosy, and you know that somehow all will end up well in the end.
This one lacks all that warm and fuzzy feeling and all I could think of was this just can’t end well no matter what.
Considering the story, the ending was sort of ok.
Narration was ok though.

Good read.

Loved it. Romance and sexual tension all the way through. Good holiday book as it was light enough.

couldn't understand why I was wasting my time still listening, think it was because I wanted to see if it got any better.
