Hansens bøger om drengen Leif fortæller om alle de mange sjove og nogle gange lidt uheldige ting, som Leif kommer ud for både derhjemme og i skolen. Hans Chr. Hansen (f. 1949) er en dansk forfatter kendt for at have udgivet et væld af letlæselige børnebøger. Hansen fik sin debut i 1982 med bogen "Ferdinand og Eske" og er siden blandt andet blevet tildelt Kommunernes Skolebiblioteksforenings Forfatterpris (1992) og Årets Læse-let-forfatter (1999).
