An excellent book a must to read.A story of the aftermath of genocide and how one woman's faith and complete trust in God helped to heal the pain of losing her family and finally being able to forgive their killers.

We shouldn't let the suffering that has occurred in history be in vain by repeating the same mistakes. Those of us in countries that are deemed safe should not be so flippant about mocking and dehumanising groups we disagree with, no matter how awful they may be, because even in our words we sow the motive of us vs them, one group more morally deserving than the other as if we know with certainty that we would not be the same as our opponents if roles had been reversed. We might think our dehumanising would never be taken so far as genocide, but it starts with this seed, with this motive in the heart, and is it not arrogance to presume that we are somehow more morally advanced that our own country would stop things before they reached such a level?
There are powerful ways to put an end to the cycles of oppression, for consequence and justice to occur, without resorting to dehumanising our 'enemy'. So much history shows us time and time again how this only leads to repeated cyclic harm. Bless the author for sharing this story, a light to humanity.

Wow what a great read. Had me thinking the whole way through. I did wonder what happened after the first book. Reminded me how blessed I am to live the life I do.
