About this listen
Lead to Gold is a remarkable book describing how anyone can effectively use the energizing power of transitions, forced or chosen, to their advantage. It provides you with the tools necessary to take the challenges we face every day and turn them into positive forces to enhance growth rather than diminish it. Through Lead to Gold, you will learn how consistent transitions lead to greater transformation and evolution, with the end result being a more fulfilling career and life.
This must-listen masterpiece describes his journey from a career as a residential real estate agent to becoming the CEO of a major corporation owned by billionaire Warren Buffett. Stephen provides his perspective and insight of the personal transition from CEO to author, speaker, and highly sought-after consultant. While his vision and entrepreneurial spirit made it possible for Stephen to reach the pinnacle in business, the true secret of his success lies in strong spiritual and family values.
Lead to Gold is intended to inspire all those in transition - in life or business - whose aim is to be a winner and evolve to the highest level possible in everything they do!

Wasted opportunity for author, wasted time for me
The first thing to say here is that if you are looking for a good book on Transition and Transformation (you'll know who you are) then this book is not for you, it's just a coincidence of title. This shows a major drawback with audio books. If this had been a physical book I would have seen this immediately.
The author is a self proclaimed business success who wants to share his experience and I was looking forward to some real stories from the front line, but there are virtually no real life examples included, the whole book being written in a conditional narrative with advice so basic that it would be insulting on a business 101 course ("if you are starting a business check Google to see who your competitors are"). Perhaps Mr. Rodgers is saving his real examples for a sequel but he could have given us a couple of tasters to whet our appetites.
The lack of actual examples coupled with the frequent credits for success given to God and Jesus turn this book into more of a religious/spiritual tract than a practical business book.
The author reads his own book and his voice is quite pleasant.
The last thing to note is the number of mistakes in the audio book, was the narrative never checked or edited? I counted half a dozen re-reads left in before I stopped counting. I would have thought that attention to detail is a key to business success.
