About this listen

 Julien Ventre naît le 31 août 1935 à Colmars-les-Alpes dans la haute vallée du Verdon, berceau de toute sa famille. Son père, Ambroise : éleveur de moutons, pour développer son entreprise, s'installe dans la Provence d'en bas, à Coudoux, petit village de la banlieue d'Aix-en-Provence. Chaque année, troupeau, ânes, chiens et bergers remontent à pied la vallée de la Durance pour aller passer les mois d'été dans les hauts alpages de Névache, dans le Briançonnais. De cette vie pittoresque et rude des bergers transhumants le petit Julien conservera des centaines d'anecdotes.

Dans cet audiolivre, l'inimitable talent de conteur du pâtre des collines, nous les restituent avec l'accent et au son des sonnailles du troupeau qui a donné ses plus belles scènes au film L'eau Vive de Jean Giono.
