Summary
Faith first. Even in matters of the heart.
When Diego Campos meets Marguerite Kinicki in the midst of a hostage situation, he is determined to date her. It isn't long before he falls hard. She has it all: beauty, brains, strength, and a sense of humor. The one thing she doesn't have is what matters most. Faith.
Marguerite knows she's losing her heart to Diego, but she sees the warning signs and knows it's only a matter of time before he walks away and leaves her heart in tatters.
Find out if together they can make a path forward for their love, while at the same time dealing with the fallout from busting a human trafficking ring and working on solving a series of murders that Diego believes is somehow related.

Audiobook lawfully defended
I received this copy for review from the author. I thoroughly enjoyed another book written by her but this was my first audiobook. I enjoyed the story, a bit predictable romance wise but helpful to have breakup in the middle to emphasise important of sharing beliefs with life partner. Major scenes were too brief and extra description like getting ready to go out took unnecessary space. Background of violence encountered through jobs but not over described. Interesting to learn about projects to help vulnerable women. I did find the accent of the reader difficult but that may be my British ear being unfamiliar with it.
