About this listen
Do you try not to be late, but it just keeps happening?
You are not alone - one in five people struggle to be on time, and would love to change their lateness habit. Until now it’s been a lonely battle, but in this trailblazing audiobook Grace Pacie, a lifelong self-confessed "Timebender", reveals the surprising truth about why we are late - it’s not a personal failing, we are hard-wired that way. She explains not only when and why we are late, but also when and why we can be early; what is going on in our brains; and what we can do to fix it.
Based on a potent fusion of psychology, self-help, and 10 years of researching fellow sufferers, this audiobook shows us how we can make sure we arrive on time. Written with a light touch, and oodles of humour, Grace dissects our singular approach to time, and in a joyful reversal of conventional wisdom, also shows us the positive side of our timebending tendencies.
Includes 20 tried and tested tips to get you there on time!

Really relatable and insightful
As the author says, understanding our problems better can help us address them. Almost everything in this book resonates for me - it made me feel less mad/guilty and i will send future partners to read it. The fear of closure was a big new idea for me, and very relevant and useful

Late!
I have struggled with lateness al of my life. Grace G. Pacie ‘gets’ this quirk. I’m hoping that this book will have given me the tools I need to help me on the future. If nothing else it’s definitely uncovered the lies I tell myself.
Thank you so much for writing this!!!

Beware the Demon Deadline Shaver!
This is a simply brilliant book, and one I wish had’ve existed long ago. I’ve been a late person my entire life and in constant efforts to improve I’ve had coaching and read alllll the self help books on productivity and time management. So much so, I could probably write a book on it myself, all the while without it changing my late “habit” one iota. This book is a breath of fresh air from an author who ACTUALLY gets this misunderstood and psychologically (genetically!) entrenched problem. I felt so seen and empowered to find creative solutions to work with my ‘Demon Deadline Shaver’ in new ways that don’t activate the shame and guilt. Thank you Grace for making a Time Bender’s life a little lighter!

I feel seen!
The most memorable moments were at the beginning where the author describes some of the things timebenders do (the example of the friend who wanted to sweep the leaves outside) I am that friend who will say ten more things when the night is at an end..
I have been using a few of the recommended techniques before (they do work) but this book has more and offers a different, more positive way of looking at things.

Extremely relevant and interesting
I found this book 100% bang on for explaining why I always arrive at the last minute or late.
Grace shows the reasons why we are late, the advantages that come with this trait and practical help for people that want to change.
