About this listen

Nick Stone - deniable operator for British Intelligence - has been assigned to carry out an officially sanctioned assassination. When he realizes who the target is, he refuses. But he is then given a chilling ultimatum: fly to Central America and finish the job, or the 11-year-old orphan in his care will get killed.

Stone arrives in sweltering Panama close to breaking point. His life is in pieces, but things only get worse when he finds himself caught at the centre of a lethal conspiracy involving Columbian guerrillas. Hundreds of innocent lives are at stake.

Their only chance of rescue is Stone. But he has a critically injured friend to rescue, miles of dense rainforest to navigate and the toughest decision of his life to make....

Very good

A curious book. Weird start but story evolves slowly into tense drama.

One of the better Stone books

I enjoyed this book. Action mixed with an emotional element, quite interesting. Not as much raw brutality as in some of the others, but still a good story. Also not the copy paste paragraphs which I’ve noticed in some of the books I less enjoyed. Looking forward to the sequel!

Continued Excellence

Another excellent escapade for Nick Stone.

A sttrange start but developed into another great book with enough military & human detail to keep you gripped without drowning in either.

nick stone book 4

love this author but it would be great if there was an easy system to sort this series into book order. i have had to start on book 4 as i can not find any earlier issues. shame. book its self was entertaining and reasonably easy to follow but slow in many places i felt as over descriptive in areas. but hey, what do i know lol

Nick Stone - Better than Jack Reacher

Nick Stone gets more and more complex and interesting. Plot lost me a bit though.
