About this listen
Teenage girls have a harder time than previous generations....
Does she know what to expect and how to navigate the challenges with confidence?
You’ve had "the talk". Your daughter has started her period, or she knows what to expect when it arrives…but is she truly prepared for everything that being a teenager entails?
The reality is that being a teenager is a little different from how it was when you were growing up. Girls face contemporary challenges that simply weren’t around for older generations…and no matter how well you think you’ve prepared them for their teenage years, there are bound to be a few things that slip through the net.
Your daughter doesn’t just need to know about the changes in her body.
She needs to know about navigating significant issues like sexuality, gender identity, and body image…and she needs to know what to expect from the world around her while she battles the changes in her body and her soaring emotions.
She needs to do this in her own time and at her own pace–after all, a huge part of growing up is getting to know yourself and understanding the importance of independence.
But that doesn’t mean she has to go it alone…. Simply by providing her with the resources she needs in order to explore her identity and prepare her for the big wide world, you can help her step into womanhood completely in charge of her own pathway.
Providing her with this unique guide to adolescence is the perfect way to do this. Adolescence has always been a challenging time, and today’s teenagers are facing things you may not be equipped to teach them about…. But that’s okay. All you need to do is provide them with the resources they need to understand themselves and the world around them–and they’ll do the rest.
Your daughter has everything she needs to navigate her teen years with grace and confidence…. She just needs a little nudge in the right direction.
Give your little girl everything she needs to blossom into a confident young woman.

Very helpful
I got this book because my daughters are going through this present stage in their lives right now, and it helped me better understand how to relate to them, their demands, desires, and expectations.

An important but uncomfortable topic
Teenage girls going through puberty changes can sometimes find it difficult to find comfort and have open conversations about some of the changes they may be going through. This book provides valuable insights to help any teen going through this transitional stage and lots more.
The author is an expert in the field, having supported numerous teen girls. She provides the process from start to finish of what changes teen girls go through, But more importantly, how they can navigate these challenges to achieve a healthy and happier life. Very recommended.

Highly recommended for moms and teenage girls
As a mother of a 14 y girl, I struggled to find new ways of how to deal with her mood swings, understand her needs and help her understand the changes in her body and her emotions.
This book navigates significant issues like sexuality, gender identity, and body image for teenage girls. I'm glad I got across this book because it opened my eyes to many things I haven't considered before.

Self-Expression and Identity
This book gives a good overview and thorough run down of what to expect from girls in this stage. I myself have an 11-year-old daughter going on 13, if you know what I mean. I’ve asked myself how I am going to handle the changes as she enters the teen years and beyond.
From this book I’ve been put ease to gain valuable insight. From not knowing what I didn’t know, it is a world of difference. Topics include: periods and hormonal changes, body image, diet, attitudes, and mental health. We can learn to embrace their self-expression and to address sensitive subjects as they mature and learn to become better overall as a person.

Great audiobook for teen girls becoming an adult
Decided to listen just to understand what my nieces will go through as preteens. Here, they will learn how to build self confidence as women, understand bodily changes, and accept who they are with pride. Developing into a woman I can only imagine how surprising and difficult it can be. I feel this audiobook goes into much better details than the average school. A must listen!!

Useful resource for parents/teacher
As a male high-school teacher I have no problem understanding and being able to handle the disruptive boys in the class. The girls is another story they work on a different level to me and the things that motivate them into good behaviour is all different. This book help me understand the underlying things that girls of that age feel are important. I hope these discoveries will enable me to manage a classroom better.

A powerful audiobook for young girls
This is such an empowering text. The audiobook covers a range of areas that present an enigma to teen girls and illuminates the path for many young women as they navigate their way into the world of womanhood.
At a time when young people are facing increasing pressures, this book is a welcome resource for girls as well as their parents who may be ill-equipped to help their children handle the associated issues, both mental and physical, of adolescence. I particularly love chapter 5 which talks about self-love. This is an area I feel needs more focus in society, to keep teens safe, confident, and mentally well. The information provided is factual but also empathetic and inspiring. I love the fact that the author provides strategies and signposts where further help can be accessed. A fabulous text that I highly recommend.

The conversation you need to have.
This book is excellent. My 15-year-old niece thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a beautifully written "handbook" for how teenage girls should adjust to puberty and all that comes with it. Great job; I have recommended it to friends with struggling daughters.

Growing Up As A Girl
I gave this book to my young daughter and she was impressed. First of all, she wondered why I gave her a book like this, but, without her mother here, it's been hard for me to understand her journey into her teens. This book has really helped. I have a much better understanding of my daughter now. The book has been well-produced and the narration is very good.
