Summary

Ox and Judy are off to Alaska on a honeymoon cruise and invite Walt and Maggie to tag along.

Their vacation plans are soon shipwrecked by the murder of two fellow passengers.

The murders appear to be linked to a century-old legend involving a cache of gold stolen from a prospector and buried by two thieves.

Their seven day cruise is spent hunting for the gold and eluding the modern day thieves intent on possessing it at any cost.

Another nail-biting mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and laughing out loud the next.

Killer cruise

I enjoyed this book. It is book eleven in a great series, that in my opinion is still going strong. I like the characters and the way they are work well together, no matter what is happening they have each other's back. I like the mystery but also the funny side stories to, like a police man that has no problems facing bad guys with a gun but put in him a dancing class and he freezes up.
After getting married in the last book Ox and Judy are going on there honeymoon and are takings Walt and Maggie with them. Before boarding the ship they met a couple with secret plans to go treasure hunting. The problem is that someone else knows about the missing gold and have made plans to take the couple's place and find it for themselves. After the killing is bungled Walt and Ox decide to play bodyguard for the young couple and follow them every where. After a few near misses the would be killers plot to take out the meddlesome two some, before going after the gold. Back at home the gang have there own story to tell when a killer swears revenge against one of Walt's closest friends.
I really like George Kuch as a narrator and think he helps make the books so enjoyable.

Friends in high places

When Walt's partner, Ox and new wife Judy, invite the Williams to join them on a late honeymoon cruise to Alaska, the two couples are looking forward to some peace and relaxation. Not going to happen. With his comedic style, and excellent characterisation, Robert Thornhill again provides an entertaining and informative story to brighten even the coldest day. A comedy of errors.
Once again narrated by the excellent George Kuch, with his intimate style of speaking direct to the listener, he is the 69 years old police officer relating what happened to a friend.
Superb entertainment throughout and an (audio)visual trip through Alaskan trails.

I have to confess to being an avid fan of the Lady Justice series. I have enjoyed every one especially the Audiobooks. They are funny, thought provoking, filled with fascinating anecdotes and people, with at least one good mystery buried in each book. Add in the superb narration - well, they shouldn't be missed.
