Todo lo absurdo de las convenciones sociales esta en el fondo de esta obra maestra, que posteriormente el mismo Dumas llevo a las tablas y que fue la base de la opera de Verdi "La traviata".

This novel, known in English as Camille, is based on the real life story of a parisian courtesan. It narrates the touching sacrifice of the heroine in behalf of a girl that she doesn't even knows. All the absurdity of social conventions is revealed in this masterpiece.
