Summary

Adam Havel je uzavřený mladý muž se zálibou v knihách, který má dvě práce a malou garsonku na Hájích. Jeho život je průměrný až nudný - z práce do práce a pak domů mezi své milované knihy, sem tam navštívit sestru Táňu a její dvě malé děti a tak stále dokola. Pak se ale v jeden jediný den stane naráz svědkem krvavého zločinu a setká se s tajemnou, neohroženou Dianou, která obrátí jeho svět vzhůru nohama.

Adamův život postupně připomíná čím dál tím víc napínavý román, ve kterém hlavní hrdina nejde pro ránu daleko. Jak se stane, že milý a plachý člověk najednou rozmlátí auto, nebo někoho zbije, aniž by si kladl otázku "proč"? Adam se stává součástí soukolí skryté spravedlnosti. Udělit pouhou lekci však již nestačí, někdo z Klubu začíná viníky vraždit...
