Excellent Start to a New MC series! Great Listen🎧
Xavier Neal shows us another side of her creative mind with this first book of the “Camelot Misfits MC series. The story is well written with interesting and original storylines that are captivating from start to end. There is great world building and character development, also great to learn the dynamics of the club. Adonis “King” Arthur has his reasons for being a nomad but when he gets call from a friend, a club brother, that his sister has been taken by a rival club he must head home. He knows it is a ruse to get him to come home to finish unfinished business but something has to be done, the rival club must me stopped. Imani is an assistant director at the Whitney museum, she loves artifacts and the history of the pieces. Her friend drags her to a party at the Misfits club, she does not exactly fit in but she captures King’s attention and the two hit it off. He not only likes what he sees but he is intrigued by her smart mouth. Imani is a bit of a nerd but it turns out King has a little nerd in him which leaves a stellar impression on her. Imani is mistaken for someone else and she has bad people after her, King makes sure everyone knows she is under their protection but will that be enough or will that put her in more danger. This is an excellent start to the series, the author lays down the foundation for the rest of the series. The story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance. Xavier Neal, thank you for another great story and that mind-blowing ending, I am looking forward to what happens next.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lacy Laurel and Antonio Turner did a great job bringing these characters to life, humanizing them, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, sounding believable in every role and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Lacy Laurel played Imani’s role with perfection, grasping her badassary in a smart way, Antonio did the same for King, both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and passion, projecting it all into their performance. It is a pleaser to listen to these talented narrators are versatile voice artists. Thank you for this great listen, it is a pleasure to listen to your work.

MC Romance
King's Return by Xavier Neal is a Motorcycle Club romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lacy Laurel and Antonio Turner. This is the first book in the Camelot Misfits MC series.
This is the second book of Xavier's that I have read and it won't be my last. I am loving the chemistry between Adonis and Imani. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to dive into the next book King's Conquest so I can get more of Adonis and Imani's story.
Lacy and Antonio did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like MC romances or romantic suspense.

LOVED IT!
King's Return, the first book in the Camelot Misfits MC series, is a well-written, well-plotted, and thrilling MC romance. This was my second Xavier Neal book, and she continues to leave an impression. The story is fast-moving, engaging, exciting, action-packed, and steamy with the right amount of twists and turns. The cast is incredibly appealing, particularly the MCs. Imani is headstrong, feisty, independent, tough, and totally impressive. Adonis "King" Arthur (aka King) is dominant and loyal with a strong protective streak. King and Imani make a great match; the chemistry is superb, passionate, and palpable. The book does end in a surprising cliffhanger, but I'm not complaining. So far, I'm loving their journey, and I can't wait to find out what comes next for the couple in King's Conquest.
Lacy Laurel and Antonio Turner are absolutely outstanding performers. Their portrayal of the characters was simply flawless, capturing the nuances of the characters' personalities, emotions, connections, and chemistry. They made the story come to life. King's Return was a fantastic start to Camelot Misfits MC, a fabulous new MC romance series and so worth the listen.

Great start to an MC series
I dip my toes in MC books every now and then and I'm so glad I decided to splash around in this series.
Full of action and attraction, King and Imani are drawn together immediately.
Xavier's writing flowed well and there was never a dull moment. We are introduced into this world and given snippets of other characters. I've got my eyes on Wiz.
Off i go to continue my adventures with the Camelot Misfits!
And who better to bring it alive and to your ears than the lovely Lacy Laurel and co-narrator Antonio Turner. They both did an amazing job!

super fast paced
I'm finally circling back to start this series (I read Wiz's story first) But on a whim I decided to pick this up. It's super fast paced, it's a Low-key King Arthur reimagining, and the characters are fun and super easy to connect to. King has returned home to Camelot (see) after a long "banishment" thinking he can sort things out with his MC and go nomad again. Enter Imani. Then his whole mindset changes. Not to mention there are things in the background that may mean the open road might not be the place for him no more. I don't think I'll be able to wait long before diving into book 2. BUT, I really enjoyed the dynamic between King and Imani and I really loved the side characters. Also, the audio was soooo good.

Imani and King start this series with a bang!
Imani and King start off the series with a bang!
Adonis King Arthur has been asked to return 'home’ to Camelot where he never thought he would return to help save Maddox’s sister from a rival MC. One that takes women and sends them to be sex slaves or worse. So Camelot Misfits definitely need Kings help rescuing her. He believes he will help get her and leave again, that is until he sees Imani at the clubhouse. I was thinking, how is an assistant director for a museum going to be in a MC club party? and was really surprised by her strengths. She is sassy, outspoken and able to defend herself. Yet able to see that she needs King’s and the MCs protection now because someone has mistaken her for her friend who is trying to help Camelot Misfits MC take down the Dread MC a-holes.
Xavier wrote a detailed story full of deception, suspense and angst trying to find who is betraying the Camelot Misfits MC and it’s great to hear the details of MC life. MC’s are not for the faint hearted and surprisingly Imani is accepting and one kickass woman who is the perfect match for King. Their passion is seriously hot. There’s so much in this book that keeps me fully engaged and wanting more. I’m excited for the next book because that cliffhanger ending had me seriously on edge!
The narration was what really pulls you in for this audiobook. Lacy was perfect as the sassy, strong loving Imani and I’m excited to hear more about her. Antonio is a new narrator for me and I really fell into his performance as the alpha strong Adonis or King. Hearing King opening up to Imani about his feelings and his past with Antonio’s voice has me excited for this series to continue. Where will Xavier take us next!

King & Queen
Wow this was a great introduction into the Misfits MC. King returns back to Camelot after a decade away. He comes home to help rescue his “sister” and more.
Leaving on an epic cliffhanger I can’t wait to listen to book 2!
