Summary
What would you do if you woke up in another world?
That's exactly the problem facing Alex Burke, a recently employed security guard who accidentally finds himself falling through an ancient teleportation gate. When he opens his eyes, he discovers a world of magic, elves, monsters, and demons, not all of which are eager to meet him.
With no idea how to get home, he'll need to adapt, grow, and kill to survive.
But Alex is a stranger in a strange land, which means he's bound to draw interest. Whether that's from his enemies or the many beautiful women he encounters remains to be seen, but he'll need every ounce of wit, strength, and charm to conquer both.

Cringe.
Portals that appears randomly that helps the people get food.
They don't only open, but they also pull them thru.
Out of these portals, one guy is managed to be pulled thru.
An elf finds him and figures out that he is The Chosen One.
Tells him that she will help him and introduce him to people that can help him learn his magics, seems to stop him whenever she can.
The guy has the right attitude when it comes to almost all the fighting, but, he accepts everything to fast.
Seems to suddenly know how to use magic without training.

Needs editing!
Aspects of this story are interesting. Graphic sex not so much. Graphic violence not so much. friendly giant is cool, sexy elf romance banter is cool. Hero being authentic is cool. Magic system is ok. Hero should not have magic without training. World building is interesting. Performance is strong. Could be so much better with a few more drafts. Needs an editor.

Frankly far worse than the reviews
Not sure but I feel the writer really has watched far too much of the xxx section of satellite TV.
This had to be the worst start of a book of all books full stop. More of a teenage erotic fantasy thinking "Wierd Science " right now, but quasi ex military type jumps through portal and jumps into bed with anything female. The magic system is an excuse and flimsy at best. The narrator I feel sorry for.
Enthusiasm on a plot vacant story is laudable but fankly should have been ditched.
Won't be getting the others as frankly my soul will wither further if I do.
I have given 3* overall but part of that is the effort the narrator gave. 2 the potential story and 1 the actual goddammit implementation. whoever signed this author aught to ask for their money back.
