About this listen

Steve Range thinks his friend Randy is a corpse in a desert grave - until he reappears in an Al Qaeda video, spitting extremist hate and challenging Range and Blackstone Six to a desert battle that will settle a vicious blood feud. But Range's attention is drawn to a stray word slipped in to Randy's tirade, and he begins to wonder whether his old comrade-in-arms really has been turned by his captors. All he knows for sure is that he owes a debt to the man he left for dead.

As Range plunges ever deeper into the dark and chaotic heart of the terrorists's murderous plot he realizes that nothing is what it seems, and that his elite band of warriors are facing a desperate fight like no other.

A great action book

Fast paced with elements from Phil Campion's own colourful career wound into the story. Before reading this I read Phil's autobiography. Understanding Phil allowed me to enjoy this book more I reckon. Either way I would recommend it. It was read really well too

The best

So exciting listening all day as couldn't leave it be . So nice to hear a thriller by an English guy rather than all the American books . Hope he writing more . Loved it

TNF (Terrific New Fiction) by Phil Campion

I recently listened to Desert Fire and was very impressed, so this was the natural next book for me and what a book, I enjoyed it from start to finish, not only can I imagine Phil as Steve but, I can see these books as films. Definitely worth a listen!

Great read

really enjoyed this book, gripping from the first chapter and a quick build up. dropped of a little in the last 3 or 4 chapters but still very good. everyone saying its far fetched or unrealistic etc, it's a story, it doesn't have to be spot on, it has to be exciting and why not a little ott sometimes. only thing I did not like is the main characters voice from the narrator, no other way of saying this than that, he sounds like his constantly severely constipated.
