About this listen
From the author of ebook number one best seller and Sunday Times top 10 best seller After Anna.
A serial killer is stalking your hometown. He has a type: all his victims look the same. And they all look like you.
Kate returns from a post-break-up holiday with her girlfriends to news of a serial killer in her hometown - and his victims all look like her.
It could, of course, be a simple coincidence. Or maybe not. She becomes convinced she is being watched, followed even. Is she next? And could her mild-mannered ex-boyfriend really be a deranged murderer? Or is the truth something far more sinister?

great book shame about the way its read
the reader slows things down to sound like baby talk and makes the characters sound really annoying

Painfully obvious but narrated well
If you like any aspect of a who done it then don't listen to this. The dialogue, characters and narration were good however there is only one suspect and the main character frustratingly misses the obvious for about 8 hours of this production. I would have given the narrator 5 stars (and would listen to her again) however she must have read the book and still agreed to continue with the project. This is the only audio book I've ever struggled to finish and not bothered to rewind when I fell asleep. I should have given up when the killer was revealed (I groaned aloud when I realised there was still 3.5 hours left). I gave 2 stars not 1 as I enjoyed the first couple of hours when there was still some potential. This could have been a good story and I could have tolerated the long winded ending if there was some element of surprise.
Thanks to the Audible pay monthly scheme I can get my credit back.

So, so predictable
I stuck with this til the end despite having guessed the twist about an hour in. there's a way of introducing themes and characters related to a twist subtly and there there's this! absolutely no need to think about what's going on because all the elements of the twist are introduced so crudely. A lot of the dialogue is cringey (GI Joe and Harry Potter?!) I wouldn't bother with this one, so much better stuff on audible.

Not working.
It may well be a good book but it does not work on my kindle. I am reading the book as well as listening, even though I have paid for this audio, after chapter two, it says do you want to add narration. Very frustrated I even tried to listen to just the audio book, but it still stops at chapter two.

Way Too Obvious
Any additional comments?
This was probably one of the worst stories I have ever read/listened to regarding the plot and who the killer was - it was painfully obvious, almost from the start. In fact I was praying I was actually wrong and that it was a genius story line, with incredible twists, and that what I thought was happening was just one huge red herring.
Without giving anything away, no guess work was required and on introduction to each character, could practically work out the entire story - by half way through I had completely nailed it and tied up any loose ends. Getting to the 'reveal' (there really was no point) I was amazed to see 3 or 4 hours left? I have never skipped chapters before but did so until the long drawn out end.
Nothing surprising in this story at all. I was also sick and tired of hearing 'Kate said' whenever there was dialogue - just listen and see .... super annoying and nothing the narrator could change (sadly). Hugely disappointed to see so many 'brilliant' reviews but at least I can give this book back!

BAD
Very very bad writing of female characters, threadbare storytelling and a laughable "baddy". Couldn't cope with the narrators version of Northern accents and her enthusiasm when saying a key phrase of Phils flatmate about a club saw me astral project straight out of my body.
I only persisted out of sheer bloody mindedness as I bought this when my paperback copy proved to skip from page 56 to 92. I now realise it was a higher power trying to tell me not to bother.
Avoid.
