Keto Cookbook for beginners really does what it says on the cover: it offers those interested in starting the Keto diet the benefits associated with it including that it was originally designed in the 1920s. to reduce epileptic attacks in younger children and says to determine if the new user is in ketosis, without having to rely on test strips. It offers tips for success and the food type balance needed for that success, a!l written cleanly, without fuss, and easy to absorb. The narration, too, is clear.
Before the book offers recipes, it lists the basic foodstuffs which can or cannot be consumed. The recipes then are sectioned into three parts: breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a couple of ideas for those with a sweet tooth. The most interesting section is that with breakfast ideas, ten interesting ideas beyond the full English often suggested. Each individual recipe is clearly presented with ingredients listed as well as the making instructions, how many portions it makes and also the appropriate level of each in terms of carbohydrates, fat, calories, fibre and protein in grams, all information the heavy needs to know to more easily construct a day menu.
This is a good basic starter book for anyone seriously considering beginning this diet and allows the reader to make a start without great monetary investment or overwhelming them with details superfluous to what is needed. It is a book for beginners, though, and anyone aiming to make this their new lifestyle will, doubtless, want to add to the menus available. But as a taster, this is easily enough. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy. If you are thinking of making radical changes to you eating lifestyle, whether for health or cosmetic reasons, this book is definitely worth reading and, possibly, trying.
