Summary

It all ends here.

Every decision, battle, triumph, and heartache has led the galaxy to this moment.

The Republic is spun wildly into sudden war as Gomarii slavers, in overwhelming numbers, strike on behalf of their Savage allies. The battle is fiercest on a newly rediscovered world: Earth.

But galactic war is only the symptom of an older, deeper, and far more dangerous conflict. Now, Keel and Ravi must work frantically to assemble the warriors needed to withstand an ancient threat, and Prisma must wrestle to control her own inner darkness. While on the front lines, Death’s grim specter comes for Chhun and Victory Company.

For once again, a Legion stands steadfast before the void.

KTF Part Two marks the end of Galaxy’s Edge: Season Two, and of the expansive story arc that began long ago with Legionnaire. Listen with caution, for here is where the characters you have come to know and love will meet their ultimate fates.

Includes special notes from the authors.

A wise man

Once told me if you have nothing good to say then say nothing and apart from RCBs performance being excellent as usual I have nothing else to say about this book

Suffered a bit of Lostitis

There's always going to be loose ends finishing a series spanning so many books but this felt like too many. E.g. what was the point of bringing in bubbles who would doom everyone (or something similar) with no seemingly purpose. All in all well worth the listen and very happy to have found the series but too many times I wondered what just happened. Similar to how the dark ones were captured in previous book, it just was.

A Joy

While it's took awhile to get here I wasn't disappointed. I went thru every feeling for happyness to sadness. I'm almost cried with the last four mins. A good story from start to end. Thank-you for the story and the people I will miss.

Okay ending, but to many cut stories

In short; enjoyed the stories that were actually told. The problem is all the stories left unfinished, untold and/or cut to the point of absurdity.

Seems like the authors were in such a rush to wrap it all up they unwittingly did a GoT season 7/8. Maybe that is slightly harsh, but I feel they still had a book or two left for season 2.

Also, the epilogue seems strange for the authors who speak so warmly of the original Star Wars extended universe (now legends). Lucas never put such restrictions on other authors who wanted to work with his greatest characters.

Season 2: A disaster mitigated by RC Bray

The entirety of "season 2" of Galaxy's Edge is unfortunately an unfocused and unsatisfying mess. Several of the individual books are more like sections of one larger one split arbitrarily with an inexplicable focus on numerous individual skirmishes that have little relevance to the overall plot.

Towards the end revelations come out of nowhere and plot threads invested in elsewhere just end without mention, others resolved "off screen".

If you're reading this and there's a series of prequels published after this which go back to deal with these threads then you can assume this was down purposefully so the reader has to buy another later series of books in order to understand how or why anything happened in this one.

If you can just finish at the end of season 1 and assume all the characters went on to have various exciting adventures.

RC Bray elevates this as he does with everything but at this point I feel like authors now lean on his talents.

epic

story superb, writing superb, narration of course superb, these books seem to be over all to soon listened to this in three sittings it's great to finally hear a well thought out ending, not cut short or rushed, I get the impression they knew at the beginning how it was all going to end, so pleased the final chapter of the story was split into two books. How this isn't a TV show yet I'll never know, listen to it...it will change your outlook on the sci-fi genre

Another fantastic chapter in the story!

Galaxy's Edge continues to be an unmissable story arc for me, Anspach and Cole providing engaging and exciting new chapters time after time. RC Bray continues to be a legend, and no-one could deliver a better performance for these characters - I'd rather wait for a delayed chapter for him to come available than to have someone else narrate it and ruin it (as has happened recently with a different series).
