About this listen
Genna Collins works a dead end job, loves her family, her girlfriend, and her friends. When she wins the biggest Euromillions jackpot on record everything changes . . . and not always for the best.
When Abi Kitson fell in love she always knew it would go unrequited. The woman of her dreams was so close yet seemingly untouchable for so many reasons. Reasons like—they are best friends, or the big age gap, or the 'other' woman, nevermind Abi's own baggage.
And even when those reasons crumble it seems luck just isn't on her side.
It's a learning curve for both of them. But what if money really can't buy you everything you want? What if the answers aren't hidden in a big, fat bank balance? What if happiness is right in front of them? They just have to reach out . . .
Contains mature themes.

I'm glad I picked this book before it was removed from the plus catalogue.
The story is about a young woman who wins the lottery, and the effects this unexpected windfall has on her, her family, friends and love interest. The conversations and inner monologues are well written and funny (made me chuckle frequently).
The slowly emerging love story is told beautifully, alternating between the two MCs. Both have a secret crush on each other and fear that the other one doesn't feel the same. When they finally admit their love and give into their desire, it turns steamy pretty fast, and after the inevitable complications, we get our HEA. The cute little child is an added bonus, saying things as they are rather than suppressing them.
The narration is flawless and captures the thoughts and feelings of the MCs well. I recommend increasing the speed to 1.10-1.20 as the narration pace is quite slow.
