Summary
It's easy to put someone in the friend zone. But what happens if you change your mind?
Bea isn't happy. Desperate for a change, she looks to her friends for inspiration. Every single one of them is paired off, perhaps that's what she needs, too. So, she starts dating again. But everywhere she goes - amid the hilarious and scarring dates - there's Peter. Good old oddball Peter, her closest friend from university. He's always been firmly in the friend zone but something's happened lately - he seems taller, more handsome and suddenly making him smile is Bea's favourite thing. But how can Bea possibly risk their friendship? And how do you even go about taking someone out of the friend zone? What if Bea and Peter were only ever meant to be just friends.....
Critic reviews
“Hilarious, heart-warming and real. You will absolutely fall in love with Bea, a witty and wonderfully flawed protagonist." (Lucy Foley, author of The Hunting Party)

LOVELY LISTEN BUT ALSO FRUSTRATING! 3 🌟🌟🌟
This was a lovely slow burn romance listen.
It frustrated me that this book is English with a British narrator, YET the author kept using 'American words'!
Here in England, we all say 'Lovebite' NOT 'Hickey' and to prove my point, weirdly enough I am having trouble typing it, as this predictive dictionary is not recognising the word and wants to overide it with 'Hockey', US British say 'wardrobe' not 'Closet' also we never say that babies have 'gas', we all say babies have 'Wind' or 'Windy-Pops' ~ The list goes on but I won't bore you or me but I will say we do love a good cuppa TEA!
This is the second Holly McCulloch book I have listened too and I was relieved it was a lighthearted Chicklit book as lately the last few books from other authors I have listened too have been depressing. Being best friends first with your partner is the best foundation for any relationship.
Narrator Sophie Roberts did her job well.
Yes I recommend this book and it is FREE to AUDIBLE members in the included Plus catalogue.
