About this listen
When the cards are stacked against you, the Kings will even the odds.
Eduardo “Lucky” Morales is a fighter, from his childhood days in Cuba to his time as a Special Forces Green Beret. Scarred by the wars of his past, Lucky has learned nothing lasts forever. Guarding his heart is second nature, and getting emotionally involved is not an option. As co-owner of Four Kings Security, Lucky works hard alongside his former brothers-in-arms and fellow Kings, but he also plays hard. Flirting with sexy Texas cowboy and detective Mason Cooper is too much fun to resist, until Mason turns the tables on him.
Mason Cooper may not be a soldier, but he’s fought his share of battles as an openly gay cop and now a detective for Major Crimes. Mason has no idea when things changed between him and Lucky, but the gorgeous, fiery Cuban has turned his world upside down. When a mistake leads to his suspension from the force, Mason turns to the least likely person for help: Ward Kingston.
Determined to keep Mason at arms’ length, Lucky is surprised to find the man at Four Kings Security. The Florida nights might be getting cooler, but the heat between Lucky and Mason burns hotter with every passing moment. Working private security can be dangerous and unpredictable, but so can falling in love.

Lucky's turn
These books have been great to listen to. The narrator does an excellent job with all the characters and puts in a great performance.
Another sexy, fun mystery.

Perfect story, perfect narration.
This is my favourite of the Kings series. Lucky and Mason's frenemines to lovers story has passion, humour, intensity and depth. This is all amplified by the voice actor's performance and by that I mean this is a brilliant narrator. I wish all Charlie's stories were narrated by Greg, he's spoiled me for other narrators. Each character read has a strong believable individuality that enhances them and the story. You'd think there were several different actors performing instead of just one. These is a conviction to each character behind the performance, different breathing techniques showing the emotions and actions. He also doesn't shy away from the hot sex scenes either.
The narrator voice is also unique from the character voices and unlike other voice actors I've listened to this one actually sounds like he knows the story, pays attention to the commas and breathes life into the words instead of just reading it like it's today's lunch menu.
The only downside for me is the quality of the recording, I've downloaded it on andrioid and iSO and it still sounds tinny with a metallic echo sometimes but I'm not going to let that ruin the joy of listening to this performance. And please, Charlie Cochet get this narrator for all your books, actually that goes for all M/M authors get this guy. I have no association to him at all, just want to enjoy listening to your books rather than cringing through some of the other audible books.

Great listen!
I absolutely loved this story. The two characters clashed so much but at the same time they were worked wonderfully together. It was a quick, addictive listen that I couldn’t turn off once I started it. Boudreaux’s narration really brings the characters alive!

Love Lucky & Mason!
I downloaded the kindle ebook but then spotted that the audiobook was narrated by Greg Boudreaux and thought 'yes please!'. Eduardo 'Lucky' Morales is one of the four Kings, former US Army Special Forces and co-founder of the Four Kings Security company. We know Lucky from the previous two books as the funny, well-dressed cousin of Anston 'Ace' Sharpe and the tension between Lucky and Detective Mason Cooper was introduced in the previous book.
Lucky regularly takes women and men to bed, but no one stays the night. Lucky wants someone to be his forever person, but he's lost so much in his life that he doesn't ever let himself get attached to anyone...until he starts to feel things for Mason. Mason, however, is the man that broke Ace's heart when he couldn't commit to him, so Lucky doesn't want to put his heart on the line, only to have it broken.
Mason wants Lucky to be his person, but he has secrets that he hasn't ever told anyone, which have made him believe that he doesn't deserve to be happy. He realises that he can't keep Lucky if he doesn't open up to him, but fears that he will leave him anyway once he does.
I love these two, the endearments are so sweet, on both sides. The story was excellent and the narration was top class!

This series just gets better!
I have loved the Four Kings Security Series so far and each book just gets better and better!
Mason and Lucky are wonderfully complex but compatible characters, brought to life by the incredibly talented Greg Boudreaux, he can speak Spanish to me any time! (Fanning myself)
I can’t wait for King’s book after listening to the epilogue at the end of this audiobook and for the rest of the teams stories.

Lucky Mason?
This is the third book in the Four Kings Security series by Charlie Cochet, one of my favourite authors, and Greg Boudreaux, one of my top 10 favourite narrators does a great job of giving the guys a voice and binging their adventure to life.
This one starts with Lucky racing off on his motorbike, furious at detective Mason Cooper for lying to him after getting his hopes up about their burgeoning relationship. Lucky has a fiery temper and it takes a dip in the ocean to cool him off.
Two months later, they still haven't gotten over their falling out, causing Mason to make a mistake at work that could have devastating consequences to his career. Enter King and Four Kings Security, taking on board the suspended detective on a temporary trial basis. King pairs the two and what fallows is quite a romp with plenty of sexy man times while the two even manage to get through several jobs together. A must for all Charlie Cochet fans everywhere.

An excellent way to enjoy this newest addition!
This is Mason and Luck's story and it does not disappoint :) Lucky has teased Mason for a little while, leaving Mason unsure of where he is on Lucky's radar. When Mason has to temporarily work with the Kings, the 2 men really get to know each other better and learn to open up to each other. The story is a combination of sweet, funny and heat.
Greg Boudreaux always gives a great performance - this is no exception. He (Greg) has the most amazing talent of immersing himself in each of the characters and making each one shine, no matter if they have only have one or 100 lines. I loved listening to how Lucky and Mason were voiced - so hot in different ways. This is an excellent way (possibly the best way) to listen to this book (and the entire series).
I was provided a copy of the book. The opinions expressed are my own and provided without any expectations.

Sweet , spicy, and funny
This book had me laughing one minute, so frustrated with these guys the next, and then heart broken for them, too. I could really feel their connection and their hesitation to admit it too each other. I adore how Charlie is able to keep alive all of the personalities of the other characters from past books in her current ones too. While each book is a great new adventure its also like coming home to hand out with old friends.

Another King Bites the dust!
Oh how the mighty fall. Lucky and Mason's story is amazingly intense and downright sweet.
The epilogue will rightfully entice into the last in this series.
I can't wait for the audio for this!
