THIS AUTUMN'S MUST-HAVE AUTOBIOGRAPHY FROM CRICKET LEGEND, JIMMY ANDERSON

'Revealing and often moving' - Guardian

21 years, 188 Test Matches, 704 Test Wickets.

This is Jimmy's story: an intimate, honest reflection told with his trademark humility and dry humour. From growing up in. Burnley as an outsider, isolated at school, bunking off, dreaming of being somewhere - anywhere - else, to dominating the 22 yards of the wicket as part of the deadliest England attack ever assembled.

Jimmy takes us inside the dressing room, to those unforgettable moments: his debut under Nasser Hussain, facing off the Aussies with Monty Panesar, Kevin Pietersen's 'textgate' and that Mitchell Johnson incident. He reflects on the intense rivalries with Michael Clarke and Sachin Tendulkar and the burgeoning friendships with Alastair Cook and Stuart Broad. Delving behind the cricket, Jimmy reveals his experiences of personal loss alongside the pain of professional injury, and the strength he found from his marriage and the arrival of his two children.

Finding the Edge is a front-row seat at the greatest games of the last two decades as England journey from perennial losers to world number one. But, above all, it is a coming-of-age story that reveals the real Jimmy Anderson: vulnerable, introspective, relentlessly determined, constantly evolving - a bowler unequalled, a career like no other.©2024 Jimmy Anderson (P)2024 Bonnier Books UK

The greatest

Read by the man himself which I always find far more enjoyable.

This book apart from being a great story about the life of the best fast bowler ever, it’s also really well written and read. I finished it in one go.

I’ve followed jimmy’s career since he started playing for England over 20 years ago. After hearing his very personal story I actually feel like I now know him a bit too.

Highly recommended!!!

Even better than his last book

I’ve really enjoyed both of his books and I think having him narrate this one made it even more special.

Only a slight overlap of the two so don’t be deterred if that’s a concern.

A brilliant book from a brilliant player

Jimmy has been one of my favourite cricketers of all time so naturally when he announced this book it was a must get. What a brilliant listen from start to finish from his shy childhood to one of the best to ever pull on an England shirt and bowl a must for any cricket fan

James Anderson

A wonderfully put together book about life within the inner sanctum of the England Cricket Team and the mental and physical toughness needed to remain at the very top of the game for over two decades.

The sports psychology

Love it, such a different way to write a life’s story, really would recommend, not like standard autobiography’s where is “I was born in…” starts with I suppose the most recent huge life event and then pin points moments that matter, not drama or seeking controversy more this is my story and other more headline grabbing things that happened around me are not important.
