Summary
She's back in town. The only girl to ever hold my heart in her hands is back in town. The news is like the blow from a hammer. It prevents any constructive thoughts from forming in my mind. All I can see is her. All I can think about is how I've missed her. All I know is that I have to keep her at arm's length to protect her. From the threats still coming the club's way, and from...me.
Alex has always had this bright light burning in her beautiful baby blues, and the last thing I need is to smother it with the darkness that settled in mine when every last member of my family was murdered.
But the lines I drew back then quickly blur when the Spiders threaten her directly, forcing us to get ready for a possible war. More than ever, I wonder if keeping her close to me, instead of pushing her away, is the right thing to do.
Did I make the worst mistake shoving her out of my life? Maybe. But does it really matter now, when she's so guarded that her heart has most likely irremediably shut down to me?
Contains mature themes.

I'm loving the series so far.
After meeting Jayce in Nate's story, I couldn't wait to see how he and Alex would fare in book two.
My gut told me Chaos Chasers MC would be shocked when they found out who was after them. With what happened at the end of book one, I also suspected another surprise.
Alex might have thought Jayce sent her that letter, but what she did after was stupid.
I think the whole Chaos Chasers MC is too laid back. It would be great if they investigated the men around their women and had their own undercover men in the rival MC. I'm loving the series so far.

Loved the story MC narration not so much
This is a new series to me and i really enjoyed the story and will most likely return and re-read the book again at some point. Intriguing and action filled, there was a lot going on in this book and it was well written and tied up nicely at the end.
Great characters and i am really looking forward to each getting a hea in the series.
The FMC narration was excellent and i really enjoyed those parts, the MMC not so much. I am sure i would enjoy the narrator reading something else, but this just didn’t work for me personally and i very much felt like i was having a book read to me rather than listening to a performance so it was slightly distracting.

Cool series but, the narration…meh
I love a good MC storyline. I am actually going to read the 3rd book. The narrator didn’t fit the genre of the book! A bit too dramatic for me. It made the hot stuff sound cringy. I enjoyed both books and I am curious about Ben’s story.
