A truly honest and captivating story about a journey with Dementia
I was captured by this story, which mirrored my family’s journey in many ways. It’s beautifully told and such an honest insight into some of the challenges faced when someone you love receives a Dementia diagnosis. It’s heartbreaking but so inspirational at the same time 💙

A Must Read
My family is on the dementia journey with my father. when i heard about Cassandras book, i brought the audio version, more out of curiosity, but from the very beginning there were so many familiarities so much i could relate to.
lot's of good ideas, and tips on how to tackle things as they arise further on in the journey, the book has helped us prepare for the inevitable.
We are not alone, on this evil journey and this amazing book, brings comfort , and confirms we can only do our best.

Beautiful
Having lost my Mum to dementia in 2022 I found this book hard to listen to, but it reminded me of how lucky I was that my Mum did remember me right until the very end. So many things that Cassandra experienced, we experienced also and I oddly found this very comforting.
The narrator was wonderful too.

FIND A CURE #ALZHEIMERS #MoreAwareness #MoreFundin
I came across this book while I was looking for anything I may find useful to help give me some insight on Alzheimer's/Dementia as my grandmother who will be 92 years old in January 2020 got diagnosed with Vascular dementia in 2016 & my mother also got a diagnosis of alzheimer's not so long ago.
my grandmother's dementia is very different from that of my mother's & my mother is rapidly declining, more so than the usual well known storyline of "will slowly decrease over a period of time." I have done some research on this awful disease but feel as though I still have a lot to learn about it & listening to this book, helped me gain more knowledge & insight into what I should expect to see as it progresses. I have to admit though during some of the story, quite a lot of it was as though she was telling my story due to it being spot on with everything I have experienced so far & listening to everything she mentioned nearer the end of the book, was quite hard to swallow & brought tears to my eyes from hearing out loud what I should really prepare myself to expect with my gran & even more so with my mum because when you hear somebody say something outloud that is ripping your heart to shreds inside, it makes it that more real & I would do anything I could to stop this devastating disease eating away at my gran and my mum's lives. I would like to say a big thank you to Cassandra for writing this book which has provided me with both useful knowledge, support & comfort to know that I'm not the only one who is going through this alone. Thank you again.
