About this listen
Picture this: You just won the Super Bowl. You’re out on the town celebrating with your teammates and best friends. And the cherry on top? You meet the sexiest woman you’ve ever seen.
Best. Night. Ever.
That is until things get going and you discover you’re suffering from a first-ever case of...performance issues.
Before you can even get a fix on your problem, poof, she’s gone, and that’s the end of that.
Game over.
Or so I thought.
Turns out, that woman I met two years ago isn’t just some random woman from a club.
She’s my team's new doctor.
As if that’s not already a penalty against me, she wants nothing to do with me now that she knows who I am.
But after our first go didn’t, well, go, I’m determined to prove myself and win a second chance with the woman I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.
Especially when she hits me with the biggest surprise of my life.
I know this new game is risky. That it could cost me everything I’ve worked impossibly hard to build for myself. Yet something tells me going up against this irresistible woman is worth the risk.
And I’m ready to play my heart out.

Asher is an NFL quarterback who has just won the superb owl along with his team. Whilst out celebrating, he meets a woman he feels an instant connection with. They attempt to 'hook up' in a toilet. Unfortunately, he's drank a little too much on top of medication to help his body recover from a brutal game - it leaves him unable to perform for 'her satisfaction' although he finds own, shockingly!🙈😂
Around 18 months later, they run into each other again in a different toilet in a different city. He's over the moon to have found her until he realises she doesn't remember him.😆🙈
This seems like it will stay in the light-ish romcom romantic arena. However, there are heavier topics going on. Wynter (toilet girl) is an orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon. Her long-lost father returns to the scene after 20+ years of absence, plus more.
I liked both of these main characters and what we saw of their friends. I wasn't overly keen on how pushy Asher sometimes got. It was too coercive for my liking, which didn't fit his character at all, so it felt unnecessary.😔 Wynter was broken by her father's past betrayals as a 5 year old, so her trust issues were huge. He needed to tread lightly.
This was enjoyable, mostly. I wasn't really sure what the point of her fathers part in the book was. It would have stood up without all of that added into it, in my opinion.🤷🏻♀️ It's definitely worth a read and listen, though.📖🎧
