Summary

When the fae invaded England with their armies and their magic, everyone felt like the world had changed overnight. It hadn’t. Especially if you were an Ironwood.

While humans lost their knowledge of magic and monsters, the Ironwoods have been fighting against evil for centuries.

While gods, fae, and magicians turned into tall tales and ghost stories, the Ironwoods became the stuff of legends themselves.

Now, with Morrigan’s Generals free again in the world, the Ironwoods are going to need all their training—and their new fae brothers—to stop them.

This box set collects all four stories of the Ironwood women as they get into plenty of trouble, slay their enemies, and find true love.

Please note: Ironwood contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

Storyline

Some scenes are just too long, all the human woman seem to be mistrusting and emotionally scarred.

Narrator 11/10

Narrator really brings the story and characters to life! The women can be overly stubborn at (wrong) times, but not annoyingly so. Story has twists and turns, snark and humour and a good amount of steamy romance.

surprisingly good

I'm not really into listening to book sets, but I'm glad I held onto my New year resolution and listened to this one. reall good story and twists that are unforeseen. the comedy moments were in the right place to break the menoteny and draw you closer to the characters

It was amazing.

I was really surprised that I liked these books. I've not heard anything similar before so was very surprised. Great story that flows from family member to family member. It was a very easy listen to with lots of turns and new ideas. the accent is a little jarring at first but you quickly get used to it.

A good set of books but the 'spicy' scenes...

The books were interesting, but the couplings were really predictable and once you got the idea of the story you know the ending, but the journey was still enjoyable.
However the spicy scenes just became boring, there were way too many that didn't add to the story and it was the same every time. The author clearly likes to be dominated and therefore doesn't differ to any other scene than that. The woman fights it then gives in, for the first few times then the woman has her "awakening" and dominates the man. I just ended up fast forwarding through them.
