About this listen

When medical examiner Sara Linton and police chief Jeffrey Tolliver take a trip away from the small town of Heartsdale, it should be a straightforward weekend at the beach. But they decide to take a detour via Jeffrey's hometown, and things go violently wrong when Jeffrey's best friend Robert shoots dead an intruder who breaks into his home. Jeffrey and Sara are first on the scene and Jeffrey's keen to clear his friend's name, but for Sara things aren't so simple. And when Jeffrey appears to change the crime scene, Sara no longer knows who to trust.

Twelve years later, Sara and Jeffrey are caught up in a shockingly brutal attack which threatens to destroy both their lives. But they're not random victims. They've been targeted. And it seems the past is catching up with both of them....

Not for the faint hearted!

What did you like most about Indelible?

As an avid fan of Karin Slaughter I thoroughly enjoyed this story, as with all of her previous novels it is not for the faint hearted but the story grips you from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Gripping from start to finish.

Another brilliant book brought to life through audio. Hearing the written words spoken out loud gives the story a whole new dimension. Highly recommend this book and of course the author !

Addictive listening

Karin Slaughter has totally smashed it again with this amazingly heart wrenching story. So many twists and turns, it is intriguing listening from start to finish. Loved it!

Another well written book in Grant County series

As a fan of Karin Slaughter and her Grant County series of books I enjoyed this, the 4th in the series. The story was not my favourite but it is well written and gives the reader more of Sarah & Jeffery’s Back story - for me one of the pleasures of reading a series is that you gradually get to know the main characters better.

The books in the series can be read as stand alone books, I’m not sure if I’d read this one first it would have led me to start at the beginning so I’d recommend starting with one of the others.

No the best from Karin!

This was quite disappointing; This was far too predictable in terms of hero and heroine cliches. This is far from the best I've read of hers.

Confusing

What was most disappointing about Karin Slaughter’s story?

It jumped all over the place.

What didn’t you like about Deborah Hazlett’s performance?

Nothing

Any additional comments?

This is the first Karin Slaughter book I have been disappointed with.

Entertaining but not the best

What did you like best about Indelible? What did you like least?

It ties together some loose ends of ongoing story

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Not as good as others

Did Deborah Hazlett do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

Yes god voiceover initialling a bit irritating but warmed in the end

Do you think Indelible needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes there is one

It was...okay

This is my first Karin Slaughter book. It's based around relationships and the past with the story jumping back and forth between 15 years. It's my first Slaughter book and it was...okay. It's the 4th in the "Grant County" series but I found it fine as a stand alone book. The book is full of twists about the past between groups of friend and relations. I was expecting a bit more of a thriller, which is was in parts. But this wasn't the main focus. I'm going to give Slaughter another go but next time I'll try one of her "Will Trent" series instead.

boring

I found the plot very dull and the lady reading it was not making it anymore interesting. Just all about a relationship and not much story. there was little acting from the reader so no sense of characterisation. Disappointed because Karin Slaughter has been more enjoyable in the past.
