Summary
Isabel’s life seemed perfect. Successful business, beautiful house, adoring husband. And then she was dead.
For four years Jessica has never doubted that her sister Isabel’s death was an accident. But when Jessica’s young daughter seems to know long-forgotten details about her aunt’s past, Jessica can’t shake the feeling that there’s a more sinister truth behind the tragedy.
As Jessica unearths disturbing revelations about her sister, and about the people she loved and trusted most, it becomes clear Isabel’s life was less than perfect and that Jessica’s might also be at risk.
Did someone murder Isabel? Are they now after Jessica and her family? The key seems to lie in the hands of a child. Can Isabel reveal the truth from beyond the grave, or is the answer closer to home?
In Her Shadow is a gripping tale of family secrets, lies and obsession from the two million copy bestselling author Mark Edwards.

Good storyline ,terrible narrator
I really didn’t enjoy the narrator’s voice and way of reading ,so monotone, rushed . It kind of ruined the experience. The storyline is good though, perhaps it’s best to read it .

A very good listen!
I loved listening to this book. Mark Edwards never fails to deliver a book that keeps you enthralled through to the ending and always with a twist and ending that you couldn’t see coming. I loved it. Can’t wait for his next book to come out! Esther Wane narrated this book well.

Great story line
I love books by Mark Edward's but I don't think this was one of his best.
The first half of the book was very suspenseful but as it progressed I thought it became less exciting and tailed off and the ending ,anti climatic.
Having said that I do love Mark's stories and I did enjoy it.
Keep at it!

very good in parts.
very good in certain parts of the book, kept you guessing what happened to izzy till very near the end- I kept thinking it was different people. it got boring in the middle of the story though and I struggled to get through quite a few chapters.

Very disappointing.
The narrator irritated me for some reason. She didn't really do much in terms of changing her voice for the different characters. Everyone sounded the same and it was hard to focus. The story was quite bland and didn't really go anywhere. The characters were half-baked and all pretty much unlikable. Everything was spelled out for us leaving no room for mystery or intrigue. Overall, this was just not good for me at all. I'm really hesitant to use another credit on this author despite the rave reviews of his previous work. Maybe this was just a rush job or something. But, yeah, I didn't but enjoy this.

Good Read
It was a very enjoyable intriguing story, With an unexpected twist. I can imagine it would make a could short TV series. The narration was really good very clear at a speed that was just right. If I were to say a dislike which is a tad picky the male voices of the narrator weren't always very good. Other than that I would recommend this book.
